Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.5m beam and a 1.97m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 275 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
Numa Mar belongs to the second generation of Azimut’s Grande 36M, the Grande 36M Evo, and Alberto Mancini’s exterior remains one of the model’s strongest assets. At 35.29m (115.8ft), the yacht carries around 275GT but avoids looking heavy, helped by long black glazing, deep cuts through the topsides and a superstructure that stays visually low. The white hull is broken into long horizontal sections, while the upper deck sits neatly within the profile instead of stacking another bulky tier above it.
The Infinity Skydeck is the big architectural idea. The upper deck runs almost continuously on one level from the aft terrace through the skylounge and forward towards the bow, so the whole floor reads as one long guest space. The skylounge glazing can retract into the structure and open the room on three sides, turning what would normally be an enclosed upper saloon into part of the deck when the weather plays ball.
Forward on the same level is a glass whirlpool tub surrounded by sunbathing space, giving the upper deck a very different character at either end. Guests can move from dining and lounging aft to the enclosed or open skylounge amidships, then on again to the pool area forward without having to keep changing levels.
The stern works just as hard. The tender is stored in a side garage, which leaves the transom free for guests once the boat is launched. A fold down platform and beach club create a broad waterside area close to the sea, so swimming and tender handling are not fighting over the same patch of deck.
Interior Design
Numa Mar’s interior belongs to the newer Grande 36M Evo generation, with M2 Atelier taking over the interior direction for this iteration of the model.
The underlying architecture gives the designers plenty to work with. Large side windows run through the main and upper decks, while the retractable skylounge glazing allows the upper deck interior to behave almost like an outdoor room when fully opened. That makes the transition between interior and exterior much more convincing than a conventional saloon with fixed glass.
The main saloon is laid out as a broad social space with enough flexibility to prioritise lounge seating or formal dining depending on how the owner wants to use the room. The upper saloon then gives guests a second indoor living area, but one that can almost disappear into the exterior deck once the glass is retracted.
The shift to M2 Atelier also helps separate the Evo from the original Grande 36M. The architecture remains recognisably the same, but the newer interior generation gives the model a fresher identity inside without losing the layout features that made the original yacht interesting.
Accommodation
Numa Mar accommodates up to 10 guests in five suites, with the owner’s cabin forward on the main deck and four guest cabins below.
The owner’s suite uses the full beam and benefits from the amount of volume carried into the bow. Large windows bring in plenty of daylight, and its position forward keeps the suite well away from the busier social areas aft.
Four further guest cabins sit together on the lower deck, giving Numa Mar a straightforward five cabin arrangement for 10 guests.
Crew accommodation is arranged separately for up to six.
Performance & Capabilities
Motor yacht Numa Mar is capable of reaching a top speed of 24 knots, and comfortably cruises at 18 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
