Design & Construction
Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 6.5m beam and a 2.05m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks.
Exterior Design
This Time Next Year is a Sunseeker 28 Metre Yacht, a model that marked a shift toward larger volumes and stronger links between indoor and outdoor living without losing the brand's performance roots. Her profile is defined by a sharp, high-flared bow, a sweeping sheerline and extensive glazing that remains distinctive more than a decade after launch.
The raised foredeck gives the yacht a powerful stance while also creating usable guest space and additional volume for the accommodation below. Deep bulwarks provide shelter around the forward seating and sunpad area, creating a private retreat away from the social spaces aft. Large hull windows and full-height saloon glazing break up the profile and bring far more natural light into the interior than many yachts of a similar age.
One of the defining features is the hydraulic drop-down balcony built into the starboard side of the main deck. When opened, it creates a waterside terrace directly beside the saloon and adds another outdoor seating area without increasing the yacht's footprint.
The aft cockpit is sheltered beneath a substantial flybridge overhang and includes built-in seating, a wet bar and direct access to the swim platform. Above, the flybridge serves as the yacht's main outdoor entertaining deck, with dining space, a bar, sunpads, helm controls and room for personal watercraft. A crane and tender storage arrangement allow the deck to adapt between guest use and toy storage depending on the owner's cruising style.
At the water's edge, a hydraulic platform carries the tender and simplifies launching and recovery, while also creating a practical swimming and boarding area when the tender is deployed.
Interior Design
The interior reflects the design language Sunseeker used throughout much of the early 2010s. Satin walnut joinery, cream soft furnishings and polished stainless steel details create a warm, understated atmosphere that feels welcoming rather than overly styled.
Large side windows run through the main saloon and dining area, bringing in plenty of natural light and giving guests clear views out while seated. The layout favours openness, with the saloon and dining spaces flowing naturally into one another rather than being divided into separate zones. A retractable television is concealed within the cabinetry to preserve sightlines when not in use.
Forward of the dining area, the galley can operate either as part of the social space or as a more private working area. A sliding partition and pocket door allow the crew to separate food preparation from guest areas when required. Domestic-scale refrigeration, extensive storage and Miele appliances support longer periods aboard.
The raised pilothouse includes a relaxed seating area opposite the helm, creating an informal lounge space with excellent views. Side deck access from the helm improves movement around the yacht while docking and adds another practical connection between interior and exterior spaces. Curved cabinetry, detailed joinery work and carefully integrated lighting give the interior a cohesive feel that has aged well.
Accommodation
This Time Next Year accommodates up to eight guests in four cabins and carries up to four crew in two crew cabins aft.
The full-beam owner's suite occupies the most desirable position amidships on the lower deck, where motion is reduced underway. Large hull windows bring natural light into the cabin, while a walk-in wardrobe, dressing area and generous ensuite bathroom give the suite the feel of a much larger yacht.
Forward, a private VIP suite benefits from its own stairway from the main deck, creating a degree of separation from the rest of the guest accommodation. The cabin includes large hull windows, a walk-in wardrobe and an ensuite bathroom, making it particularly well suited to a second principal guest couple.
The remaining guest accommodation comprises one double cabin and one twin cabin, both with ensuite bathrooms and large hull windows. Good headroom and generous floor space help these cabins feel larger than is often found aboard yachts of this size.
A separate day head serves visitors and day guests, reducing traffic through the accommodation areas.
Crew accommodation is positioned aft with two bunk cabins, a crew mess, laundry facilities, galley equipment and direct access to the engine room. The arrangement allows up to four crew to operate independently of guest spaces.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by diesel MTU (12V 2000 M94) 12-cylinder 1,950hp engines, motor yacht This Time Next Year is capable of reaching a top speed of 29 knots, and comfortably cruises at 23 knots. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.
