The Sunseeker 40M for sale represents luxury, fast-cruising, tri-deck superyacht design.
Inside, the layout includes five or even six cabins with the all-important main deck Owner’s stateroom featuring a fold-down balcony, something many new models fail to deliver. The tri-deck design creates an elevated skylounge inside and a well-protected sundeck, joined by a big foredeck lounge. Speeds of up to 22-24knots are possible from the typical 3180hp 16V MTU engines.
Launched ahead of the popular 131, the Sunseeker 40M offers the same mix of bold tri-deck design, big deck spaces and fast cruising. Although over a decade old, the 40M still delivers and ticks all the luxury boxes, the interior enjoys all the glass seen on current models and adds a proper skylounge plus a fold-down balcony for the main deck Owner’s cabin.

Market Price Insight
YachtBuyer’s Market Watch reports that there are currently seven pre-owned 40 Metre Yachts for sale globally, built between 2010 and 2015. With an average age of 13 years, these vessels continue to hold their value thanks to their combination of luxury, performance, and timeless design. This has contributed to a more competitive pricing range for the 40 Metre Yacht models, highlighting how new Yacht launches influence the market for earlier generations.

With eight of the 15 Sunseeker 40 Metre Yachts built listed for sale over the past three years, as tracked by YachtBuyer’s Market Watch data, it demonstrates steady activity in its segment. These yachts spend an average of 876 days on the market, reflecting a slow turnover rate for superyachts in this size segment. Over the same period, the asking price shows a notable decline of 13%, dropping from the initial price. This substantial reduction reflects market adjustments and potentially presents an opportunity for buyers seeking quality vessels at more competitive prices. Notably, this falls far outside the common range for this size of superyacht, reflecting a less stable position in the market. These yachts were often for sale around France, and also the United Arab Emirates and Thailand.
Sunseeker started development on the 40M in 2010 and the first model rolled off the production line later the same year.
