The 26.81m expedition yacht Vega was delivered to her owners in 2007 by American shipyard Nordhavn. She features exterior design by Jeff Leishman and interior styling by Dee Robinson Interiors.
Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement w/ bulbous bow GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.32m beam and a 2.59m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 155 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in early 2006. This was the first yacht built on the N86 design. Launched in October 2007 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in April 2008.
Accommodation
Vega offers accommodation for up to 8 guests in 4 suites comprising an owners cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 4 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Lugger (1276A) 6-cylinder 425hp engines running at 2100rpm, motor yacht Vega is capable of reaching a top speed of 12 knots, and comfortably cruises at 10 knots. With her 23,467 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,000 nautical miles at an economic speed of 7 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.
Amenities
The yacht features a well-equipped gym, allowing her guests to keep up their fitness regimes at sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Vega also features a deck jacuzzi for cooling off.
