The 44m motor yacht Volare was delivered to her owners in 2002 by French shipyard CMN Yachts. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Stirling Design International, while CMN Yachts is responsible for her naval architecture.

Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 8.6m beam and a 3m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 457 GT (Gross Tonnes).
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.
Exterior Design
Volare's exterior follows the classic layout of a large displacement motor yacht, with each deck given a distinct role rather than trying to combine every activity into a single space. The main deck aft is arranged for formal outdoor dining, the upper deck provides a more relaxed lounge connected to the skylounge, and the sundeck combines a jacuzzi, bar, dining table and sun loungers. This tiered arrangement allows guests to spread naturally throughout the yacht while maintaining privacy between different groups.
The profile combines a flared, raked bow with a gently rising sheer line, giving the yacht a balanced appearance that remains elegant more than two decades after her launch. A light grey hull, teak capping, white superstructure and black boot stripe create a restrained colour scheme that complements the yacht's traditional proportions without relying on decorative styling.
The foredeck is dedicated to tender handling, with two tenders recessed into purpose-built cradles ahead of the superstructure. Keeping the tenders forward frees the aft decks for guest use while preserving clear access to the fixed swim platform, which provides a straightforward route to the water once the tenders have been launched.
Broad side decks, external staircases and well-separated deck levels make it easy to move around the yacht, whether underway or at anchor. Although Volare predates today's fold-out beach clubs and opening bulwarks, her exterior remains focused on practical cruising, generous deck space and clearly defined entertaining areas, qualities that continue to appeal to owners looking for a traditional full-displacement motor yacht.
Interior Design
Stirling Design International gave Volare an interior that blends classic superyacht craftsmanship with a lighter, more contemporary feel than many yachts of her era. Glossy dark wood joinery forms the backbone of the design, while pale carpets and soft furnishings brighten the principal living spaces and create a strong contrast with the timber finishes.
The main deck follows a traditional arrangement, with a spacious saloon leading into a formal dining room that seats up to 10 guests around a natural stone table. Positioning the dining room between the saloon and the owner's suite also creates a useful buffer, giving the private accommodation greater separation from the yacht's principal social areas.
The upper deck skylounge provides a more informal setting centred around a built-in cinema, offering guests a second lounge with direct access to the upper aft deck. Forward, the raised pilothouse benefits from excellent sightlines, while a dedicated captain's cabin and radio room reflect the yacht's long-range cruising credentials and traditional bridge layout.
Accommodation
Volare accommodates up to 10 guests in five ensuite cabins, with accommodation for up to 10 crew.
The full-beam owner's suite occupies the forward section of the main deck, giving the owner a greater degree of privacy than lower deck accommodation. In addition to a spacious sleeping area, the suite includes a dedicated office, a walk-in wardrobe and a marble ensuite bathroom with a bathtub.
Guest accommodation is arranged on the lower deck in three double cabins and one twin cabin. The layout offers flexibility for families or mixed groups, while marble-finished ensuite bathrooms throughout maintain a consistent level of finish across all guest accommodation. Separate crew quarters forward on the lower deck support efficient service while keeping operational areas distinct from the guest spaces.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3508B) 1,200hp engines, motor yacht Volare is capable of reaching a top speed of 13 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 65,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,000 nautical miles at an economic speed of 11 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.
Amenities
In addition, a swim platform is on hand for guests looking to cool off in the sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort, while underwater lights create a dazzling light display when the sun goes down. Volare also features an inviting spread of sunpads and deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
