German yard Lurssen demonstrated their shipbuilding prowess by delivering both Ahpo and Kismet just short of two and a half years apart. They entered the Top 100 world's largest yachts in 33rd and 30th place, respectively. The difference between the LOA is nearly enough to park two Lamborghini Gallardos nose-to-boot.
Both yachts accommodate 16 guests, however, Ahpo has a crew of 39 compared to Kismet’s 37. So Ahpo can sleep the same number of guests as Kismet, and they have a similar number of crew. While both superyachts offer guests the luxury of arriving by air, Ahpo provides the utmost in convenience and flexibility having two helipads. Ahpo's biggest helipad, which is located forward on the main deck, is fully certified for cruising with a helicopter aboard.
Despite Ahpo being a little shorter, their cruising speeds are similar, as are their top speeds.

Length / Beam Ratio
Despite its name gross tonnage (GT) is not about weight. It actually measures the overall internal volume of a yacht, including all enclosed spaces like cabins and storage areas. Ahpo and Kismet are similar-sized yachts, both in length overall and GT. Actually, their amount of usable volume is almost the same. The difference is more than 15 shipping containers of volume. Now YachtBuyer has launched the YB100, redefining how the biggest yachts in the world are ranked. Ahpo's ranking in the YB100, according to GT, is 46th, reflecting a two-place drop compared to her position in the Top 100 based on length. Looking at Kismet, she ranks 55th in the YB100 and slips down by 23 places from her position in the Top 100.
Ahpo and Kismet share a 6,000 nm range, and thanks to their matching cruising speeds, each vessel could enjoy roughly two weeks, six days and 20 hours of cruising. If cruising from the Seychelles to Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, both yachts could complete the journey in about two weeks and five days.
