Delivered in 2021 by Italian shipyard Azimut, Lance East is the third hull of the Azimut Grande 27M BR series, featuring exterior design and naval architecture by Stefano Righini and interiors by Achille Salvagni. The 145GT motor yacht recently underwent a programme of exterior refinishing, underwater maintenance and detailing intended to refresh her appearance and prepare her for continued operation.
Exterior refresh
The refit focused primarily on the yacht's exterior. The hardtop was fully repainted, while the bow was stripped back and refinished to restore its appearance. A new teak deck was installed on the swim platform, refreshing one of the yacht's most frequently used waterside spaces. Additional cosmetic work included a full hull polish and detailing, helping maintain the clean profile characteristic of Stefano Righini's design.
Underwater maintenance
Alongside the cosmetic improvements, the motor yacht received fresh antifouling and a Propspeed application to the running gear. These treatments help reduce marine growth, improve efficiency and preserve performance between haul-outs. The refit also included the installation of new underwater lights, enhancing the superyacht's appearance when at anchor.
Interior and accommodation
While the recent works centred on the exterior, Lance East retains the contemporary interior created by Achille Salvagni. Accommodation is arranged for up to eight guests across four cabins, comprising a main-deck owner's suite, one VIP cabin, one double cabin and one twin cabin. Separate accommodation is provided for up to three crew.
Performance
Built on a deep-V GRP hull with a carbon fibre superstructure, the Azimut Grande 27M BR is powered by twin 1,900hp MAN R V12 diesel engines driving twin screw propellers. The yacht has a top speed of 27 knots and cruises comfortably at 24 knots, with the recent underwater maintenance helping to support continued efficiency and performance.
