The launch video shows Italian entrepreneur, DJ, and social media personality Gianluca Vacchi alongside his partner Sharon Fonseca and their daughter participating in the traditional champagne bottle ceremony before the yacht entered the water. Vacchi is widely known for his business career and large social media following, where he documents his lifestyle and travels.
A First Look at Genie Blu
Although Alia has yet to release detailed information about the yacht, the launch footage provides several clues about the design and layout. The video also captures the naming ceremony attended by Gianluca Vacchi, Sharon Fonseca, and their daughter. While no official explanation has been provided, the vessel's name, Genie Blu, may reference their daughter Blu and continues the name "Genie" seen on Genie of the Lamp, a 24m sailing yacht by Maxi Dolphin in collaboration with Wally previously linked to Vacchi.
At 45m and with a gross tonnage of 370GT, Genie Blu has been built entirely in aluminum around a semi-displacement hull platform. Her profile is notably restrained, featuring a low, elongated superstructure and extensive glazing that stretches across much of the main deck.
One of the most distinctive features visible in the footage is an expansive foredeck that occupies a significant portion of the motor yacht's overall length. Positioned behind it is a glass-enclosed forward lounge, creating an uninterrupted visual connection from the bow through to the interior spaces beyond.
What We Know About Genie Blu So Far
Public details surrounding Genie Blu remain scarce, making the launch one of the first substantial updates on the project. According to currently available specifications, the yacht measures 45m with a beam of 8.89m and a draft of 2.33m. Construction has been carried out entirely in aluminum, continuing Alia's longstanding expertise in lightweight custom yacht construction.
Beyond the basic specifications, little has been publicly released regarding the yacht's designers, performance characteristics, guest accommodation, or intended cruising program. The launch therefore offers the clearest indication yet of the finished yacht's appearance and overall concept.
Inside Alia's Current Order Book
According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch, the world's largest yacht database, Alia currently has six yachts either in build or on order. Leading the pipeline is the Alia 65M, scheduled for delivery in 2028. Designed by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design with naval architecture by Diana Yacht Design, the 1,432GT flagship will become the largest yacht ever built by the yard. Key features include a convertible aft pool deck, dual Jacuzzis, and a panoramic owner's suite with full-height glass.
Closer to completion is the recently launched 60m Serenity II. Designed entirely by Vripack, the 1,062GT yacht features an upper-deck owner's apartment, accommodation for up to 14 guests, and a platform originally conceived for Ice Class cruising.
Meanwhile, the 50m Atlantide continues final commissioning ahead of delivery. Built entirely in aluminum with a carbon-fiber superstructure, the custom project pairs Vitruvius exterior styling with Mulder Design naval architecture and is expected to reach speeds of up to 38 knots through her waterjet propulsion system.
Together, these projects underline Alia's growing presence across a broad spectrum of custom yacht construction, from lightweight performance yachts to large-volume steel and aluminum superyachts.
