Designed by the Windy Design Team, the new accommodation introduces a fresh interior, with layouts available in either Single Cabin or Twin Cabin configurations. Across both versions, the focus is on abundant natural light, practical storage, and a clean, contemporary finish intended to support extended time on board without sacrificing the performance credentials for which the Windy Boats SR tender range is known.
Scandinavian styling below deck
The interior of the tender follows a restrained Scandinavian design language, using light finishes, simple lines and uncluttered detailing throughout the accommodation. Large hull windows and overhead glazing bring natural light into the cabin, while pale wood cabinetry is contrasted with dark trim and black countertops to create a modern look.
Designed around the captain, the contemporary Scandinavian interior combines premium materials, abundant natural light, and intelligent functionality."
Windy Boats
Windy says every aspect of the layout has been designed around the captain, prioritizing functionality alongside comfort. Storage has been carefully integrated throughout the interior, with cabinetry built into the bulkheads and beneath seating, helping to maximize the available volume without interrupting circulation through the cabin.
Twin Cabin offers dedicated crew accommodation
The first of the two layouts is aimed at owners requiring separate sleeping spaces for a captain and crew member. The Twin Cabin arrangement features two individual berths positioned on opposite sides of the accommodation, together with a spacious head compartment and a refrigerator. This layout of the boat is intended to provide practical overnight accommodation while maintaining generous floor space between the cabins.
Images released by Windy also show the accommodation benefiting from large hull windows, overhead skylights and a light color palette that helps create an open feel below deck.
Single Cabin prioritizes longer stays aboard
Owners looking for more open living space can opt for the Single Cabin version. Rather than two separate berths, this arrangement replaces one cabin with a larger lounge area that converts into a combined sofa and berth. Windy says the layout of the yacht also includes a spacious head with a separate shower, air conditioning for year-round use and a refrigerator, making it better suited to longer weekends or extended cruising.
The revised layout creates a noticeably more open interior, with additional space for relaxing while retaining the practical features expected aboard a performance cruiser boat of this size.
Where the SR53 fits in the Windy range
Earlier this year, Windy unveiled its largest model to date, the 24m SR77, positioning it as a long-range chase boat and weekend cruiser capable of supporting superyachts or operating independently. Designed by Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design, the flagship introduced a semi-custom approach with multiple accommodation options and two propulsion packages.
According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch, the world's largest yacht database, the SR Sports Line now spans five models. The range begins with the 9m SR28 CC tender, before progressing through the SR40, which focuses on owner-driver performance and all-weather capability.
For owners considering longer days on the water, the latest SR53 interior demonstrates Windy's continued emphasis on practical Scandinavian design, giving buyers the choice between dedicated crew accommodation or a more open living arrangement without altering the boat's performance-focused identity.
