The 108 was built in Italy by Pershing with a multi-award winning international design team, exterior styling by Italy's Fulvio de Simoni and interior design by Armani Casa. The 33.23m/109' sportbridge yacht constructed in GRP can sleep up to eight guests across four cabins. She was available with a range of inboard engine options.
Buying a Used Pershing 108
The Pershing 108 was the first Pershing built with three engines, and that set-up has an unusual consequence for used buyers. Pershing designed the 108 so it could run at low speed on the centre engine alone, while two engines could still get the yacht onto the plane in lighter load conditions. On the triple MTU 16V 2000 M94L version, Pershing quoted more than 1,000nm at 10 knots.
That gives used buyers something worth checking. Engine hours may not be even across all three MTUs, so it pays to look at the hours and service history of each engine rather than one headline figure. The surface-drive system deserves the same close look. Engine specification can also differ between yachts, with YachtBuyer recording both triple MTU 12V 2000 M96L and triple 16V 2000 M94 installations.
The headline spec only tells part of the story elsewhere, too. Pershing offered several interior layouts and gave owners plenty of scope to choose their own décor and equipment. Two Pershing 108s of a similar age can therefore be quite different boats once you step aboard. Layout, refit history, machinery, equipment and condition can all matter as much as model year when it comes to value.
