The award winning 33.48m open yacht 1K was delivered to her owners in 2013 by Italian shipyard Mangusta. Her exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Stefano Righini, while Mangusta is responsible for her naval architecture.

Design & Construction
Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.12m beam and a 1.35m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 184 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the thirtieth yacht built on the Mangusta 108 design.
Exterior Design
The 33.5m (108ft) Mangusta 108 motor yacht 1K is built around the Maxi Open concept, and the proportions make that clear straight away. The profile sits low and stretched, with a long foredeck, a slim band of dark glazing, and a shallow superstructure that keeps the visual weight down. It reads fast even at anchor.
The hull and superstructure are GRP, shaped into a planing form that supports both speed and shallow-water access. With a draft of 1.35m (4.4ft), 1K can move into bays and anchorages that larger displacement yachts avoid, which suits her Mediterranean style of use.
Aft, the design builds volume into the quarters with pronounced haunches. These give the stern a stronger stance and also conceal storage for water toys. The transom opens to form a beach club at water level, with a garage inside for a tender and personal watercraft, so deck space stays clear when everything is stowed.
The aft deck is arranged as the main social area, with a broad sunpad, dining space, and direct connection into the saloon. The layout keeps movement simple between inside and out, which works well on shorter, high-speed runs between anchorages.
Forward, the foredeck forms a second lounge space. Large sunpads span the area, and the raised deckhouse behind offers some shelter from wind when underway. It gives a quieter alternative to the aft deck when the yacht is at anchor.
A key part of the design is the retractable hardtop over the main saloon. When open, it turns the interior into an extension of the deck, bringing light and airflow through the space. When closed, it returns the yacht to a more enclosed, climate-controlled layout.
Interior Design
The interior of 1K was stripped and updated during a 2022 refit, and it now leans into a contemporary art deco direction. Surfaces are clean and structured, with contrast between darker panels and lighter soft furnishings, while detailing such as the Rolls Royce-style ceiling panel adds a more decorative layer without overwhelming the space.
The main saloon sits on the same level as the aft deck, so the transition between the two is flat and direct. Large side windows bring in natural light, and with the roof open, the saloon takes on more of an open-deck feel. Seating and dining areas share the space, arranged to keep circulation clear rather than dividing the room into fixed zones.
Below deck, 1K includes a second guest lounge. This is not standard across all Mangusta 108 yachts and adds a useful retreat away from the main deck. It gives guests another place to sit, watch films, or spend time out of the sun during longer stays.
Accommodation
Accommodation on board 1K is arranged for six guests across three cabins.
The master suite sits full-beam on the lower deck and uses the yacht’s width to create a more open layout. A king-size bed sits centrally, with storage and seating arranged around it, while the ensuite bathroom is set forward.
A VIP cabin with a queen-size bed provides the second main guest space, and a twin cabin completes the layout. All cabins have their own ensuite bathrooms, and the design follows the same updated style as the main interior.
Crew accommodation is arranged for up to five across three cabins, separated from guest areas to support day-to-day service without overlap.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 2000 M94) 2,275hp engines, motor yacht 1K is capable of reaching a top speed of 30 knots, and comfortably cruises at 24 knots. With her 14,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 400 nautical miles at 31 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.

In addition, a swim platform is on hand for guests looking to cool off in the sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort.
