Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 10.4m beam and a 3.35m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 850 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the eighth yacht built on the Amels 60 design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in July 2025 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.
Exterior Design
Amels 6008 is part of the next-generation Amels 60 platform, carrying forward the key elements that define this series in a distinct and carefully sculpted profile by Espen Øino. Built on Damen Yachting’s proven displacement hull, the yacht spans 60m (197ft) with a broad and well-balanced structure across three decks.
The exterior is instantly recognisable, thanks largely to Øino’s use of sharply faceted window geometry on the main deck. Rather than rectangular cut-outs, the glazing adopts a sequence of angled polygonal forms. These distinctive shapes echo the subtle reverse angles of the fashion plates and the crisp lines of the deck overhangs, tying the whole superstructure together visually.
Above, the bridge deck windows present a more restrained look, formed as a continuous dark-framed band set slightly into the structure. The shift from bold faceting below to smooth horizontal flow above creates a measured, almost architectural rhythm across the yacht’s profile.
A black-painted hull and matching waterline stripe contrast with the white topsides, helping visually define the yacht’s powerful stance. Beneath the surface, a prominent bulbous bow speaks to the vessel’s displacement hull credentials.
Accommodation
Amels 6008 offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in 6 suites comprising an owners cabin located on the main deck and 1 VIP cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 13 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel-electric MTU (12V 2000 M72) engines, motor yacht Amels 6008 is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 122,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,500 nautical miles at 13 knots.
