Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 12.5m beam and a 3.6m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 2,175 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the fifth yacht built on the Amels 80 design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in December 2025 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was completed at Amels' Damen Shipyard Galati yard in Romania where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners.
Exterior Design
The Amels 8005 follows in the footsteps of her Limited Editions predecessors, continuing the same design principles that have shaped the series for over a decade. Her exterior, drawn by Espen Øino, reflects a careful balance between form and function - not through bold reinvention, but by refining elements that have long proven their worth.
One of those is the vertical bow, first seen on the Amels 60, which remains a defining feature. Here, it’s softened by flowing lines that carry through to the aft, giving the yacht a gentle but purposeful profile. The design avoids unnecessary complexity, favouring clean geometry and a layout that serves practical needs without adding layers for the sake of aesthetics.
Deck spaces are generous and clearly thought through. This Amels 80 brings together a 200 sq/m (2,152 sq/ft) sun deck - the largest in the series - a beach club open on three sides, a dedicated owner’s deck, and a 6.5m (21ft) swimming pool, creating a set of outdoor spaces designed for both downtime and hosting. A full beach club sits at the stern, fitted with fold-down platforms that extend the usable area at the waterline.
Accommodation
Amels 8005 offers accommodation for up to 14 guests in 7 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 21 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
