Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 8.7m beam and a 2.15m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 396 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the fifth yacht built on the DOM133 design. Launched in April 2024 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.

Exterior Design

Jules is the sixth hull in Baglietto’s DOM133 series and carries Stefano Vafiadis’ sharply architectural exterior language. Measuring 40.9m (134.2ft), the yacht combines a near-plumb bow with layered horizontal glazing and a clean black-and-white palette that sharpens the profile visually. In the launch photo, the dark glazing bands run almost uninterrupted along the hull and superstructure, helping reduce the visual height of the yacht while giving it a stretched, low-slung stance.

The profile has a distinctly automotive influence. Vafiadis introduced angular cut lines, recessed surfaces and sculpted overhangs that recall modern performance SUVs and sports cars. Around the upper structure, the aft edges of the flybridge and upper deck taper outward like aerodynamic spoilers, while the geometric air-intake grilles integrated into the superstructure echo high-performance car radiator detailing.

The hull sides use large expanses of dark glass that visually connect interior and exterior spaces. Full-height glazing on the main deck strengthens that openness further, while opening balconies create direct contact with the sea. The black window bands contrast strongly against the white structure and emphasise the yacht’s long horizontal flow.

A tiered beach club arrangement defines the stern. The main deck aft steps progressively down toward the water, linking lounge terraces with a lower swim platform. Integrated into this area is an infinity pool with a lifting floor system that can convert the space into a flush deck for entertaining or events. From the side profile, the aft decks appear deeply recessed beneath broad overhangs, giving the beach club strong shade and shelter.

The sundeck spans around 75m² (807ft²) and combines lounging, dining and wellness spaces into one open social deck. Spa pool seating, geometrically shaped sunpads and a family dining area with bar are all integrated into the layout. Forward, the foredeck lounge adds another outdoor retreat with sofas, sunpads and low tables arranged around open sea views.

One of the more discreet exterior details is the concealed gangway system, integrated into what appears to be part of the aft staircase arrangement. Hydraulics allow the structure to extend directly to the quay without disrupting the clean exterior lines.

Interior Design

Leonardo Santi designed the interior around contemporary Italian styling with clear automotive references woven into the detailing. The palette balances warm cream tones, pale woods and bronze finishes with more vivid accents drawn from Italian sports car culture, including Ferrari-inspired reds, greens and blues alongside touches of Lamborghini orange in selected guest spaces.

Throughout the yacht, pale timber surfaces and bronze detailing soften the sharper geometry seen outside. The wheelhouse introduces a more technical atmosphere through the use of bronze-coated carbon fibre overhead panels and grille-style inserts inspired by performance car air intakes. LEDs recessed into the woodwork provide subtle indirect lighting and help define circulation routes without overpowering the spaces.

The main salon uses floor-to-ceiling glazing to create a bright and open atmosphere with uninterrupted sea views. Contemporary furnishings from Italian brands including Minotti, Casamilano and Paolo Castelli reinforce the yacht’s modern residential feel, while fabrics from Rubelli, Dedar and Maria Flora introduce texture without making the spaces feel overly formal.

A central staircase acts as the interior focal point and is crowned by a custom hand-blown Murano glass chandelier. Bronze detailing around the staircase and along the wall treatments ties the decks together visually while maintaining a warm, understated atmosphere.

Accommodation

Jules accommodates up to 10 guests across five suites comprising an owner’s cabin, two VIP cabins, one double cabin and one twin cabin. The layout prioritises natural light and outward views, with large windows integrated throughout the guest areas.

The owner’s suite benefits from the yacht’s substantial beam and glazing arrangement, while the lower deck guest accommodation continues the same contemporary styling seen throughout the main living spaces. Automotive-inspired accent colours appear selectively across the guest cabins to add contrast against the lighter woods and cream-toned finishes.

Crew accommodation supports up to nine staff members, allowing for full service during extended cruising or guest operations.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C32) 1,800hp engines, motor yacht Jules is capable of reaching a top speed of 17 knots, and comfortably cruises at 15 knots. She has a maximum range of 3,500 nautical miles at an economic speed of 10 knots.
