Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement w/ bulbous bow GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.3m beam and a 2.5m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 199 GT (Gross Tonnes).
She was delivered to her owners in June 2025.
Exterior Design
Otium @ Sea presents the rugged, purposeful look that’s become a Nordhavn trademark, with a layout and superstructure optimised for comfort at sea on extended passages.
One of the more notable features on deck is the custom lounge pad at the forward end of the flybridge. Designed as a sociable and practical spot, it includes swivel tables for flexible use, making it a natural gathering point for drinks, casual meals, or simply relaxing with a view while underway or at anchor. The foredeck remains uncluttered thanks to the aft pilothouse configuration, which also enables generous deck hatches that bring in plenty of natural light and fresh air below.
Her hull is presented in Nordhavn’s familiar style, with a purposeful stance, high freeboard forward, and a beam that carries well aft to maximise interior space. Attention to sea-keeping is clear in every line, right down to the placement of large portlights that frame broad exterior views from within.
Interior Design
Step inside and Otium @ Sea greets guests with a warm and inviting interior, centred around rich cherry wood cabinetry set off by mahogany panels. More than twenty unique granite slabs have been used throughout, adding a layer of luxury and individual character that’s hard to miss. The overall aesthetic is refined but welcoming, balancing the practical needs of long-range cruising with a sense of comfort and sophistication.
The main saloon is expansive and thoughtfully laid out for entertaining or relaxing in larger groups, thanks in part to the wide beam and open-plan design. Natural light pours in from the large side windows, highlighting the detailed woodwork and bespoke finishes. The dining area, integrated within the main deck layout, feels both connected and intimate, well suited to family-style meals or more formal occasions.
The galley is designed with serious cooking in mind, featuring granite worktops and high-quality stainless steel appliances. Its size and layout make catering for a full complement of guests straightforward, whether for extended cruising or entertaining at anchor. Modern amenities blend with traditional craftsmanship throughout, from the helm stations with Stidd chairs to advanced navigation and control systems designed for owner-operation or professional crew alike.
A key interior change on Otium @ Sea is the replacement of the usual skylounge with a generous owner’s suite on the upper deck. This bespoke arrangement, chosen by the owner, creates a true private retreat with panoramic views and direct access to the best vantage points on board. The wheelhouse itself continues the theme of practicality and comfort, with clear sightlines and ergonomic controls, fully equipped for long passages.
Accommodation
Accommodation is organised to provide a flexible and comfortable environment for both owners and guests. Otium @ Sea features a four-stateroom layout, sleeping up to eight guests in absolute comfort. Each guest cabin is finished to the same high standard, blending warm woods, granite details, and subtle lighting to create a restful atmosphere. Two of the guest suites enjoy ensuite bathrooms, all finished with fine fixtures and granite surfaces.
The highlight of the accommodation is the upper deck owner’s suite, replacing the typical skylounge for a more private and elevated retreat. Here, large windows on either side offer sweeping views, while the full-beam configuration and high ceilings provide a sense of space rarely found in yachts of this size. The ensuite is similarly well appointed, featuring generous storage and a luxurious head and shower.
For crew, accommodation is set on the lower deck with three dedicated cabins, allowing for up to five crew members. The crew spaces are functional but comfortable, providing easy access to guest areas and technical spaces alike.
