Key Features
- Retractable swim platform access
- Huge sun pad on foredeck
- Al fresco dining on aft deck
- Lower lounge with TV
Design & Construction
Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 6.6m beam and a 1.6m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 135 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the third yacht built on the Mangusta 94 design. She was delivered to her owners in August 2015.
Exterior Design
Sayonara presents a sleek and powerful profile, with a striking silhouette that mirrors the bold performance of the Mangusta 94 series. At 28.7m (94.2ft) in length, her exterior lines are clean and purposeful, blending a low-slung superstructure with sweeping curves. Her hull and superstructure are finished in a sharp, contemporary tone that accentuates her aggressive stance on the water. The foredeck is a standout feature, with a large wrap-around seating area and a generous sun pad forward, ideal for unwinding in the breeze. Aft, the expansive main deck welcomes guests with a stylish al fresco dining space surrounded by panoramic views, complemented by a large sun pad for lounging. For shade on the aft deck, a retractable sun awning can be deployed when needed. Access to the water is simplified by a retractable swim platform and extending sea stairs that reach 3.7m (12ft) aft and can submerge for easy entry.
Up top, the sundeck delivers sweeping 360-degree views and an inviting vantage point for taking in the surroundings, while oversized windows wrap around the main salon, allowing natural light to flood the interior and offering a strong visual connection to the sea. The transition between the aft deck and the main salon is smooth, thanks to a custom-built stainless steel and glass four-panel bulkhead system that neatly slides to port, creating a unified indoor-outdoor environment.
Interior Design
Sayonara’s interior is an inviting space, featuring a mix of rosewood and oak paneling paired with stained oak flooring for a warm, sophisticated ambiance. The main salon feels open and connected, thanks to the full-height windows to either side and the clever integration of the four-panel bulkhead system aft. A dining table for four sits forward of a wrap-around sofa, while a well-equipped bar area at the aft end ensures guests are well catered for during social gatherings. The helm station spans nearly the full beam of the salon forward, providing excellent visibility through the oversized windows.
On the lower deck, a key design feature is the lower lounge - a private retreat that replaces what would traditionally be a fourth guest cabin. This space is fitted with a wet bar, fridge, icemaker, and a desk for those needing to stay productive on board. A 50-inch TV sits opposite, creating a welcoming spot for movie nights or a quiet break from the sun. The lounge also connects directly to the day head, which doubles as a guest bathroom.
A subtle touch is the private entrance to the galley, allowing the crew to move efficiently without interrupting guest flow. Throughout the yacht, attention to detail is evident in the choice of materials, with custom ceiling port windows in the VIP suite that can shift from clear to opaque at the touch of a button, hammered surface sinks with marble-topped vanities in the guest heads, and bespoke fixtures in the bathrooms.
Accommodation
Sayonara comfortably accommodates six guests across three cabins on the lower deck. The full-beam master suite is a standout, with expansive hull windows, s a king-size bed with walk-around access, twin nightstands, a loveseat to starboard, and a makeup desk to port, complemented by storage drawers. His-and-her closets and a private en suite with a marble and stainless steel shower and dual sinks.
The VIP cabin is forward, offering a queen-size bed, two hanging lockers, and those unique custom ceiling port windows. The twin cabin to starboard provides cosy twin berths and a private en suite bathroom, complete with a stall shower, Planus toilet, hammered sink, and marble-topped vanity.
Crew accommodation is separate, comprising quarters for a captain and two crew members. This area includes dedicated bathrooms and a private dining space, supporting smooth operations and guest privacy throughout.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V2000 M94) 2,600hp engines, motor yacht Sayonara is capable of reaching a top speed of 36 knots, and comfortably cruises at 32 knots. With her 8,800 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 300 nautical miles. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.
