Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.2m beam and a 1.67m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 187 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
Built by Westport Yachts, Snowbored is a highly tailored motor yacht distinguished by a custom 2.4m (8ft) cockpit extension designed to support watersports and fishing. This adaptation adds both function and versatility to the original Westport profile, giving her a more activity-focused aft layout. The extension allows for greater deck space and toy handling capabilities, aligning with the yacht’s active cruising style.
On the aft deck, guests are welcomed by a custom hi-low teak dining table accompanied by five cushioned teak chairs and a built-in settee for relaxed seating. The wet bar here includes a Whirlpool refrigerator, ice maker, Corian countertop, and sink, ideal for casual outdoor entertaining. A spiral teak staircase leads up to the flybridge, with locker storage neatly built into the layout. Overhead, dimmable lighting sets the mood, and a weatherproof 55-inch Samsung television enhances the outdoor experience.
Up top, the flybridge features a spa tub with a surrounding sun pad and integrated storage. Additional cushioned sun pads and a settee with hinged access beneath add flexibility. An oval Corian-top table is paired with a bar station complete with a Swanstone sink, hot and cold water, fridge/freezer and bar stools.
Interior Design
The interior of Snowbored is finished in satin cherry woodwork throughout, providing a warm, elegant feel. In the main salon, a large custom-upholstered sofa and matching end tables sit opposite a formal dining area centred around a cherry dining table with seating for eight. Overhead, a custom soffit with integrated lighting adds depth and detail. A mirrored bulkhead and cherry buffet unit enhance the sense of space while offering dedicated flatware storage. Nearby, a wet bar incorporates a refrigerator, icemaker, sink, and a cherry waterfall edge with a recessed burled wood top.
The galley is arranged in a country kitchen style, blending functionality with relaxed social appeal. It features a KitchenAid fridge-freezer, Bosch dishwasher, GE five-burner cooktop, convection oven, and microwave. Diners can gather at a granite oval dinette table with upholstered wrap-around bench seating. A walk-in pantry houses an additional freezer along with a Miele washer and dryer.
In the raised pilothouse, a Crown Classic helm chair fronts the 61cm (24in) stainless destroyer wheel. The space includes a chart drawer, settee with table, and built-in bookcase. Access to the flybridge is via a sliding hatch. A stainless-framed double-glass door leads to the side decks. The electronics suite includes a Pioneer stereo system, Panasonic 16-station phone system, and a range of integrated navigation controls.
Accommodation
The yacht accommodates eight guests in four ensuite cabins, while maintaining a dedicated crew area aft.
The full-beam owner’s suite features a king-size berth with a custom-upholstered headboard, complemented by built-in cherry dressers and nightstands. His-and-hers cedar-lined walk-in closets provide generous wardrobe space. The ensuite bathroom includes a marble shower and Jacuzzi tub with a sliding glass door and dual sinks.
The forward VIP stateroom features a queen berth with custom soft furnishings and upholstered headboard. Twin nightstands and integrated bookshelves sit on either side. There is a walk-in wardrobe, ambient rope lighting under the bed, and an overhead bronze mirrored soffit. The ensuite bathroom includes a shower, vanity, and Kohler sink with custom fittings.
To port, the guest stateroom is furnished with a queen berth, upholstered headboard, and storage drawers beneath. A built-in dresser and nightstands sit against a bronze mirrored bulkhead. The private bathroom features a custom sink, shower, and vanity.
To starboard, a twin cabin provides two single berths, upholstered headboards, a cedar-lined closet, and a built-in dresser.
Crew quarters are accessed aft and comprise a captain’s cabin with a custom double berth and storage below, along with a desk and TV. The captain has a dedicated head. Two additional crew members are housed in a twin cabin with upper and lower bunks, undercounter fridge, and a shared crew head with shower and custom fixtures.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Detroit Diesel (12V-2000) 1,480hp engines, motor yacht Snowbored is capable of reaching a top speed of 24 knots, and comfortably cruises at 20 knots. With her 15,899 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 2,000 nautical miles at 10 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
Amenities
Underwater lights will turn plenty of heads when the sun goes down. Snowbored also features a deck jacuzzi for cooling off and an inviting spread of sunpads.
