Design & Construction
Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 6.81m beam and a 2.29m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 170 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the tenth yacht built on the Ferretti 1000 design.
Exterior Design
Spica presents a clean, contemporary silhouette that captures Ferretti’s modern design direction. The hull is finished in crisp white, balanced by dark bands of glazing that stretch nearly the yacht’s entire length, visually lowering the profile and connecting each deck line into a cohesive flow. The superstructure sweeps back in a single smooth curve, with dark-tinted glass wrapping around the main and upper decks to accentuate the yacht’s length and sense of motion even at anchor.
Her exterior layout is defined by symmetry and circulation. Twin staircases rise from the swim platform to the aft deck and continue up to the flybridge, a feature more often seen on larger yachts but executed here without loss of deck space. The transom area transforms into a waterside terrace, with a hydraulic platform that lowers for easy access to the sea or to launch the Williams 445 tender. When raised, it forms the base for a relaxed seating area close to the water.
The main aft deck can serve as a casual lounging spot or convert to a formal dining area, with generous side decks providing natural flow around the yacht. Guests benefit from a thoughtful separation of movement: the starboard side connects directly to the salon via large sliding doors, creating an open terrace on the sea, while the port side gives discreet access for crew to reach the galley and service areas.
Moving forward, the foredeck is designed as a dedicated guest retreat. What was once a single sunpad area on earlier Ferretti yachts has evolved into a multi-level social space with integrated sunbeds, side tables for refreshments, and a forward seating arrangement that forms a comfortable nook overlooking the bow. Crew can reach this area quickly through a pantograph door beside the flybridge helm, ensuring service remains smooth and unobtrusive.
The flybridge and sundeck offer a wide expanse of open-air living, equipped for both dining and lounging under an adjustable bimini. The combination of clear sightlines and carefully proportioned spaces gives Spica a balanced, inviting character that feels larger than her 30-metre (100ft) footprint suggests.
Accommodation
Spica’s accommodation layout follows Ferretti’s proven five-cabin configuration, offering comfort for ten guests. The full-beam owner’s suite sits on the main deck, benefiting from large hull windows and easy access to the main salon and exterior areas. Below deck, four further guest cabins provide a balanced mix of doubles and twins, each with its own ensuite bathroom.
The crew quarters, accessible via the port side deck, are designed for efficiency and privacy, providing accommodation for five crew members.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 2000 M96L) 16-cylinder 2,186hp engines running at 2450rpm, motor yacht Spica is capable of reaching a top speed of 28 knots, and comfortably cruises at 24 knots. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.
