Design & Construction
Designed around a deep vee GRP hull and superstructure she features a 8.1m beam and a 2.72m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 338 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the first yacht built on the 40 Metre Yacht design.
Exterior Design
Built on the Sunseeker 40 Metre Yacht platform, About Time's hull features a pronounced vee shape for offshore performance and showcases the model’s signature styling, including a sharply raked stern and strong, clean lines running from bow to transom.
Fold-out balconies are built into both sides of the main deck, accessed through full-height glass doors from the main salon. These additions extend the usable space and create a stronger sense of connection with the water. A third balcony is positioned forward in the owner’s suite, making About Time the only known Sunseeker of this size with this triple-balcony configuration.
At the stern, a hydraulic passerelle leads onto the wide swim platform, which provides access to the water and to the transom garage. When closed, the garage maintains the yacht’s sleek lines; when open, it reveals storage for a tender, two jet skis, and a broad range of water toys.
The aft deck offers lounge seating, while the upper deck is home to an alfresco dining area positioned just outside the sky lounge. This space is served by a nearby wet bar, dumbwaiter and dayhead, and features sliding curved glass doors to enclose or open the space depending on conditions. Loose furniture here allows for flexible layouts, and additional elements include a refrigerator, sink and outdoor TV.
Wide side decks lead forward to a large bow area with U-shaped seating and a dining table. The space also has scope for further freestanding furniture, if desired. All the way forward, the foredeck is equipped for anchoring operations, with bollards, winches, and a bosun’s locker integrated into the layout. The teak trim around the forward edge can double as casual seating.
At the very top, the sun deck is laid out for both entertaining and relaxation. A convertible dining table and bar area sit forward, flanked by two freestanding loungers. Aft, a large sunpad stretches around the jacuzzi, with umbrellas providing shade overhead. From this level, staircases connect directly back down to the bridge deck and main deck aft.
Interior Design
The interior of About Time combines bright, contemporary styling with a spacious layout, elevated by a wide range of upgraded options selected during her build. Upon entering the main salon, floor-to-ceiling glass doors and the folding balconies on both sides instantly expand the space and draw in natural light. The salon features a formal lounge setup aft, transitioning into a dedicated dining area forward. A large display panel on the forward bulkhead is integrated to serve as both artwork and television.
Upstairs, the sky lounge acts as a second saloon and social hub. An L-shaped sofa wraps around the port side, opposite a full bar with glassware storage. A rise-and-fall TV adds flexibility, while the sliding curved doors lead directly out to the alfresco dining space. This upper deck layout balances indoor comfort with outdoor access, encouraging all-day use.
The bridge itself is finished to a high specification, featuring four large multifunction displays and twin captain’s chairs. Side access doors flank the helm, and a prep space sits just aft of the bridge. This area also houses a dayhead and the entrance to the sixth guest cabin.
On the service side, the galley is well equipped, with under-counter refrigeration and freezer storage, a side deck access point, and a separate prep area for stews. A dumbwaiter connects the galley to the bridge deck, making service to the upper dining area quick and discreet. Below the galley, a stairwell leads to the crew mess and accommodation.
Accommodation
About Time accommodates up to 12 guests across six en suite staterooms, including a large owner’s suite on the main deck, four guest cabins on the lower deck, and a sixth guest cabin located on the bridge deck.
The main deck owner’s suite benefits from direct access to a private forward balcony and large windows along both sides. A king-sized bed sits centrally, with a desk area to port and integrated storage throughout. The suite continues forward to a walk-in wardrobe and an en suite bathroom a few steps below. The en suite includes a double vanity, bathtub, rainfall shower with bench seating, toilet and bidet, all set against polished millwork and stone finishes.
On the lower deck, two full-beam VIP suites are positioned aft, each with double beds, dressing tables, generous closet space, and bathrooms featuring double vanities, walk-in rainfall showers, toilets, and bidets. Forward of these are two additional cabins. One features twin single beds on sliding tracks, plus a Pullman berth; the other is fitted with a central double. Each has its own en suite with separate showers and ample storage, and both receive natural light through large hull windows.
The sixth guest cabin is found on the bridge deck, offering panoramic views, a large mounted TV, desk space, wardrobe and an en suite with double vanity and shower. This cabin benefits from its elevated position and privacy away from the main guest area.
Crew accommodation is located on the lower deck, accessed via a separate stairwell near the galley. Up to nine crew can be housed across four cabins, including a captain’s cabin with a double bed and three twin cabins. The crew mess includes lounge seating, a large TV, and additional galley-style prep space. Laundry facilities include a full washer and dryer setup located aft, near the garage.

Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 4000 M93) engines, motor yacht About Time is capable of reaching a top speed of 25 knots, and comfortably cruises at 10 knots. With her 31,910 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,500 nautical miles at 12 knots.
