The 28.65m motor yacht The Flying Dutchman was delivered to her owners in 1985 by Dutch shipyard Heesen. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Mulder Design, while Pieter Beeldsnijder Design is responsible for her naval architecture.

Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 6.45m beam and a 1.83m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 137 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Powered by 3 x diesel MAN (D2542 MLE) 700hp engines, motor yacht The Flying Dutchman is capable of reaching a top speed of 13 knots, and comfortably cruises at 10 knots. With her 12,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 2,500 nautical miles at 10 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
