Bilgin Yachts Named Türkiye’s Leading Superyacht Exporter for 2025

Bilgin Yachts has been officially named Türkiye’s leading exporter in the 24m+ yacht category, reaffirming its position at the forefront of the country’s growing superyacht industry.

The recognition was awarded at the “Award on Water” Export Awards Ceremony, held at the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) headquarters and presented by the Ship, Yacht and Services Exporters’ Association (GYHIB).

Top Exporter Recognition

Shipyard Director Mehmet Şengün accepted the award on behalf of the company, describing it as “a proud moment” for the Bilgin team and a sign of Türkiye’s rising profile in global yacht construction. “Our aim is to elevate Turkish yacht craftsmanship to the highest level on the international stage, and this recognition reinforces our unwavering commitment to that goal,” he said. “Our achievements are the result of the dedication of our talented team and the strength of our partnerships.”

Bilgin’s position as Türkiye’s top exporter in its class reflects not only the scale of its output but also the sustained quality of its designs, engineering, and craftsmanship.

Expanding Order Book and New Flagship

The award comes as Bilgin builds momentum with its most ambitious project to date: the Bilgin 282. At 86m and with a gross tonnage of 2,200GT, this flagship is currently under construction in Yalova and will be the largest ever built by the shipyard.

The vessel continues the evolution of the Bilgin 263 platform, featuring extended glazing, larger deck windows, and a profile that draws inspiration from Tatiana, one of the brand’s most recognizable models. The Bilgin 282 yacht is on the market with Bilgin and has a price upon request.

In parallel, Bilgin is producing seven hulls of its popular 50-meter series, with up to eleven more in the pipeline. The strong response to the Bilgin 170 series has played a key role in this expansion.

Bilgin 170: Sub-500GT Performance and Style

Designed in collaboration with Hot Lab and Unique Yacht Design, the Bilgin 170 has proven itself in the highly competitive under-500GT segment. The motor yacht balances performance and comfort with a clean, modern aesthetic that includes full-height glass walls, floating staircases, and large skylights.

The hull design of the yacht, paired with next-generation propulsion systems, supports long-range cruising while maintaining fuel efficiency. The model’s combination of volume, style, and engineering detail has made it a standout in Bilgin’s growing portfolio.

Other Key Builds Under Construction

Other highlights of Bilgin’s current order book include Al Reem, the third hull in the Bilgin 263 series. Measuring 80 meters with a volume of 1,758GT, Al Reem features a distinctive profile penned by Unique Yacht Design and interiors by H2 Yacht Design. Her layout spans four decks and incorporates a spa pool with waterfall, beach club with wellness center, cinema, and helipad. She will join her sisterships Tatiana and Leona

Also under construction is the first 74m Bilgin 243, a steel-hulled displacement yacht designed for extended voyages with a maximum range of 5,000 nautical miles. With seven cabins for up to 16 guests and accommodations for 18 crew, the model emphasizes comfort, autonomy, and volume across its steel and aluminum structure.

The Bilgin 173 adds a versatile 52.7-meter option to the yard’s portfolio, also built with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure. Capable of housing 12 guests in six cabins with support from nine crew, the B173 offers a 4,500-nautical mile range and is aimed at buyers seeking long-distance cruising capabilities in a refined, fully customizable platform.

Bilgin Heritage and Hands-On Skill

Headquartered at West Istanbul Marina and family-run for five generations, Bilgin Yachts has established itself as a vertically integrated builder with over 900 in-house craftsmen. Its five facilities, totaling over 79,000 square meters, include workshops for stainless steel, upholstery, hydraulics, mechanics, and a dedicated furniture factory. Around 90% of construction is completed internally, allowing Bilgin to maintain strict quality control across all stages of production.

Bilgin was also listed among Türkiye’s top 10 maritime exporters in 2023, reinforcing its international presence despite growing competition and global market pressures.

As 2025 progresses, Bilgin Yachts shows no signs of slowing. With high-profile deliveries on the horizon and a diverse build portfolio led by models like the 263, 243, and 173, the Istanbul shipyard continues to shape the next chapter of Türkiye’s superyacht story.
