The 139'5" motor yacht 42 Exuma/ 01 is being constructed by Italian shipyard Maiora and is due to be delivered in 2027. The yacht's exteriors have been penned by Giorgio M. Cassetta, while Elie Saab has designed her interiors.

Design & Construction
Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 29'2" beam and a 5'1" draft. The yacht is built over 4 decks with an internal volume of 430 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the first yacht built on the Maiora 42 Exuma design.
Exterior Design
The Maiora 42 Exuma carries a clean, modern profile where long, horizontal glass bands are the defining feature. The hull presents a pale, almost pearlescent tone that sets off the dark glazing, while the sheerline sweeps in a calm, unbroken curve from bow to stern. From the water, the yacht looks composed and athletic, her decks layered in a way that hints at both privacy and openness depending on where you stand.
Aft, the decks unfold into a wide living platform. From above, you see how the space is tiered for different moods. Closest to the water, there’s a sunbathing pad, while a step up takes you to the main pool deck. Here, loungers flank a generous pool with a glass front, so the water feels visually connected to the sea. Behind it, arranged in a sociable curve, are soft chairs and tables for relaxed time outdoors. The design reads as easy and generous, making the stern a natural gathering point.
Interior Design
Stepping inside, the main saloon immediately shows how the design makes use of glass and open sightlines. Panoramic windows stretch almost floor to ceiling, keeping the sea in constant view and filling the space with natural light. Pale timber lines the ceiling and floors, creating a soft, airy backdrop.
The lounge blends seamlessly into the dining space, where a sculptural chandelier draws the eye, and further forward, a marble-topped bar anchors the space. The marble carries a swirling oceanic pattern in shades of blue and sand.
Accommodation
The Maiora 42 Exuma is designed to carry up to 12 guests in five main-deck suites. Four generously sized VIP cabins line the central corridor, each benefitting from large wardrobes, comfortable layouts, and floor-to-ceiling glazing for abundant light. At the forward end of the main deck, the full-beam owner’s suite offers separate living and sleeping areas, a private bar corner, dual walk-in dressing rooms, and his-and-hers bathrooms.
This configuration places guest accommodation where natural light and space are maximized, a design feature normally associated with much larger yachts over 60m. The arrangement avoids the traditional practice of relegating guests to the lower deck, creating a more convivial onboard atmosphere. A double trunk circulation system ensures that guest and crew movements remain separate, and pre-installation for a glass elevator allows seamless vertical access across three decks if desired.
Crew areas are concentrated on the lower deck, with accommodation for nine spread across five cabins. Facilities include a large crew mess, a separate cold room and dry storage, laundry with ironing and drying zones, and a larger dumbwaiter sized to serve all guests in a single run. The crew deck is designed to enhance comfort and operational efficiency, with dedicated staircases and direct access routes that avoid crossing guest spaces.
Performance & Capabilities
Motor yacht 42 Exuma/ 01 is capable of reaching a top speed of 30 knots, and comfortably cruises at 26 knots. With her 8,982 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 2,100 nautical miles at an economic speed of 10 knots. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.
