Design & Construction
Designed around a full displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 8.11m beam and a 2.41m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 480 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
The 44.8m (147ft) Sterling Yachts superyacht All Star I carries the kind of profile that immediately points back to Jon Bannenberg’s design work. The lines are soft and sculptural rather than aggressive, with long dark glazing bands cutting through the white superstructure while the repeated oval window pattern along the hull gives the yacht a distinctive rhythm from bow to stern.
The bow stays long and clean, with a gently rising sheer line and wide foredeck spaces that keep the yacht looking balanced despite her substantial internal volume. From above, the deck arrangement is carefully layered, so each level steps back gradually rather than stacking vertically. That approach helps reduce visual bulk and gives the yacht a lower, more flowing appearance on the water.
A major feature of the exterior layout is the open circulation between decks. The yacht uses Sterling’s retro-style tender launch arrangement on the main deck aft, while the aft section also incorporates a hydraulic transom door that folds down into a beach club area close to the water. A diving board extends the connection to the sea even further.
The upper aft deck is arranged for entertaining on a larger scale, with dining space for up to twenty guests. Higher again, the sundeck combines open lounging areas with a more enclosed private section containing a gym, skylight and steam shower. A touch-and-go helipad was also incorporated into the original design, although this has since been decommissioned.
Interior Design
The interior of All Star I combines dramatic architectural spaces with softer detailing and large amounts of natural light. Entry on the main deck leads directly into a triple-height atrium centred around a floating spiral staircase built from stainless steel and glass. Floor-to-ceiling glazing around this space helps daylight move through multiple decks, so the centre of the yacht feels unusually open for a vessel of this era.
Pininfarina handled the interior styling, bringing a cleaner and more contemporary feel than many yachts launched in the early 2000s. The upper deck lounge uses full-height windows to frame panoramic views, while a circular observation lounge forward creates a more relaxed space away from the formal entertaining areas. A full-service bar also sits within this deck, allowing the upper lounge to operate almost as a second main saloon.
Throughout the guest areas, the layout focuses on long stays aboard as much as short-term entertaining. The elevator connecting the lower deck through to the sundeck changes the way the yacht moves internally, especially across multiple guest levels.
The sundeck wellness area adds another layer to the interior arrangement. Rather than leaving the top deck completely open, part of the space has been enclosed to create a private gym with a skylight overhead and a steam shower alongside.
Accommodation
All Star I accommodates up to ten guests across five cabins. The owner’s suite sits forward on the main deck and spans the full beam of the yacht. Access comes through a private corridor, leading into a cabin arranged with a king-size bed, lounge seating, walk-in wardrobe and a marble bathroom fitted with dual sinks, shower and separate water closet with bidet.
Four further guest cabins are positioned on the lower deck, each with its own en-suite bathroom. The two forward guest cabins can combine into a larger VIP-style suite when needed, giving the layout more flexibility for families or charter groups.
Crew accommodation for 9 is arranged separately and includes four double cabins, a captain’s cabin with private bathroom and desk, as well as a dedicated crew mess and lounge area to support extended operation and guest service.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Mitsubishi (S-12R T2MPTKH) 16-cylinder 1,309hp engines, motor yacht All Star I is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots.
