Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 9.02m beam and a 2.44m draft. The yacht is built over 4 decks with an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a touch and go heli-pad.

Construction started in early 2002. She was delivered to her owners in January 2005.

Exterior Design

The exterior profile of Amore carries the classic Christensen look from the early 2000s, with long horizontal glazing bands, a raised pilothouse arrangement, and broad overhangs that give the yacht a substantial but balanced stance on the water. Built in GRP by Christensen Yachts in Vancouver, Washington, the 47.9m (157ft) yacht pairs a high internal volume with flowing exterior lines and large outdoor guest spaces.

Her bow stretches forward with a fine entry and long foredeck, while the superstructure steps gradually aft across four levels. Dark window bands break up the white profile and visually lower the yacht’s height. The upper decks maintain strong wraparound walkways, so movement around the yacht feels practical and open rather than enclosed.

Outdoor living areas spread across several deck levels. The main aft deck has a sheltered dining setup for up to 10 guests, connected directly to the saloon through wide sliding glass doors. Above, the bridge deck creates a second social zone with additional lounge seating and open views aft.

The sundeck is one of the yacht’s strongest exterior spaces. A forward Jacuzzi sits within a raised observation area with panoramic sightlines across the water, while the aft portion incorporates a shaded bar, loose lounge seating, sunpads, and dining areas. The deck also supports touch-and-go helicopter operations, adding another layer of capability for private cruising.

Aft on the upper deck, Amore carries a substantial tender and toy inventory including SeaBobs, paddleboards, inflatable islands, towables, an e-foil, and a Nautica RIB tender. Naiad zero-speed stabilisers improve comfort underway and at anchor, while the yacht’s broad beam of 9m (29.7ft) creates unusually large deck spaces for a yacht under 50 metres.

Amore is a yacht that blends practicality with the elegance of fine craftsmanship.

Interior Design

Amore’s interior was designed by Carol Williamson & Associates and built in-house by Christensen, combining rich walnut joinery with marble detailing and a more traditional American superyacht atmosphere. The finish feels substantial throughout, with heavy cabinetry, stone flooring, curved architectural details, and extensive custom woodwork.

The main saloon follows an open-plan arrangement with large lounge seating aft and a formal dining area forward for 12 guests. Oversized side windows bring natural light deep into the room, while the dark walnut walls and cabinetry create contrast against lighter soft furnishings and stone surfaces.

A central foyer acts as the yacht’s circulation hub, finished with marble flooring, a spiral staircase, and one of the yacht’s most unusual features in this size range: an elevator serving all four decks. The arrangement changes the feel of the yacht internally, especially for multi-generational use or long periods onboard.

The skylounge adopts a more relaxed mood, with a large lounge arrangement, entertainment systems, and a marble-topped bar positioned beneath expansive windows. The elevated position gives the space broad outward views, while the darker woods and softer lighting make it feel more private than the main deck saloon.

The galley underwent a substantial upgrade during the 2022 refit period, including new Rational iCombi ovens, Gaggenau stovetops, upgraded extraction systems, and expanded preparation capability aimed at heavy charter use.

Accommodation

Amore accommodates up to 16 guests across six ensuite cabins, supported by accommodation for up to 10 crew in five cabins forward.

The owner’s suite occupies the forward section of the main deck and spans the yacht’s full beam. The space includes a king-size bed, oversized his-and-hers walk-in wardrobes, a private office, and a large ensuite finished in marble with separate bathtub and shower facilities. Large windows along both sides bring natural light into the cabin, while the arrangement gives the owner separation from the guest accommodation below.

The lower deck centres around a full-beam VIP suite that mirrors many of the owner cabin’s features, including a king-size bed, extensive wardrobe space, bathtub, and shower. Two further guest cabins aft each feature king-size beds and ensuite bathrooms.

Forward on the lower deck are two flexible guest cabins designed for larger family groups or charter use. Each cabin includes a double bed, additional single berth, Pullman bunk, and ensuite bathroom arrangements with generous storage throughout.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 4000) 12-cylinder 1,800hp engines running at 1800rpm, motor yacht Amore is capable of reaching a top speed of 17 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 56,781 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,580 nautical miles at an economic speed of 9 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.

Amenities

A gym with all the latest equipment allows her guests to keep their workout routines while at sea. In addition, a swim platform is on hand for guests looking to cool off in the sea. An elevator makes the yacht fully-accessible, while air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. The sundeck is the social hub of the yacht, with a deck jacuzzi for cooling off and an inviting spread of sunpads.
