  • Extensive gym facilities
  • Well equipped for fishing and diving
  • Large, bright skylounge
  • Sundeck with outdoor cinema area
  • Lots of contact points between interior and exterior

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 9.2m beam and a 2.4m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in mid 2019. This was the first yacht built on the Custom design. Launched in April 2021 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in June 2021.

Exterior Design

Hawa is a 48m (157.5ft) full custom Benetti with exterior design by RWD, and the profile reflects a modern displacement yacht with long horizontal glazing and a strong, clean sheer line. The desert sand hull colour sets it apart straight away, while the dark glass bands cut through the profile and visually lower the superstructure.

The layout focuses on connection to the sea, and this shows in the amount of glazing and the number of openings across each deck. Large sections of glass run along the main and upper decks, and the superstructure uses wide overhangs to provide shade without blocking light.

At water level, the beach club expands outwards with two fold-down side platforms, so the usable area increases when at anchor. This space links directly to the interior and includes dedicated zones for relaxation as well as storage for diving and fishing equipment.

Moving up, the upper deck aft is arranged for outdoor use with seating and sun areas, while the sun deck splits into distinct zones. A wind-protected central structure separates the forward and aft sections, so privacy can be maintained when needed. The aft section carries a dining table for 12, while the forward area includes a bar, a smaller table and a sunbathing space facing ahead.

With her prominent 'desert sand' hull, elegant external lines and unusual layout HAWA is as eye-catching as she is luxurious.

Interior Design

The interior of Hawa is also by RWD, and it uses a restrained material palette that combines matte eucalyptus with darker walnut detailing. Leather and marble appear in selected areas, so the finish has contrast without becoming heavy.

Natural light is a key part of the design. The main saloon has five openings to the outside, so daylight reaches across the full beam, and the large windows maintain clear views throughout the space. The arrangement is open and fluid, with direct access to the exterior deck.

On the upper deck, the sky lounge continues this theme with large opening side windows, and it sits alongside a private gym that also benefits from opening sections to the outside. Forward, the wheelhouse uses full-height glazing across 180º, and it features a custom “light bridge” console with integrated controls set into two compact side sections around the captain’s chair.

The beach club adds another layer to the living spaces, with an L-shaped sofa, a bathroom with shower and sauna, and dedicated storage for water sports equipment.

Accommodation

Hawa accommodates 10 guests across five cabins, with space for nine crew including the captain.

The main deck layout departs from the usual arrangement. Instead of a galley forward, this area is given over to guest space, with a large VIP cabin positioned ahead of the master. This VIP includes a shower and sauna, which adds a level of comfort rarely seen in this position.

The master suite sits forward on the main deck and spans the full beam. It includes a private study, a central bed, and separate wardrobe and lounge areas arranged to port and starboard. Drop-down side windows open the space directly to the sea, which changes the feel of the cabin when at anchor.

On the lower deck, three additional double cabins complete the guest accommodation. The galley is also located here, connected to the rest of the yacht via the dumbwaiter system.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 2000 M86) 1,700hp engines, motor yacht Hawa is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 10 knots. With her 60,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,000 nautical miles at 10 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.

Amenities

The yacht features a well-equipped gym, allowing her guests to keep up their fitness regimes at sea. Waterfront living can be enjoyed to the fullest, thanks to a large beach club and connecting swim platform with plenty of space for sitting back and admiring the sea views. The yacht features a tender garage with storage for a range of toys and accessories. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. The sundeck is the social hub of the yacht, with a deck jacuzzi for cooling off and an inviting spread of sunpads.
