Design & Construction

Designed around a deep vee GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.9m beam and a 1.45m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 297 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the second yacht built on the Maiora 36 Exuma design. Launched in June 2026 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was completed at Maiora's Fipa Group yard in Italy where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners.

Exterior Design

As the second hull in the Maiora 36 Exuma series, this yacht represents a key chapter in the builder's recent history. Developed by Maiora alongside Quartostile and Acube Design, the 36 Exuma marked a clear break from the traditional flybridge yachts that had long formed the backbone of the range. The goal was not simply to build a larger yacht, but to rethink how owners live on board and how closely they can stay connected to the sea.

That thinking is evident from the first glance. At 36.9m (121.1ft), the yacht carries a long, low profile built around strong horizontal lines, a near-vertical bow and dark glazing that runs almost uninterrupted along the superstructure. The beam stretches to 7.9m (25.9ft), yet the design avoids the bulky appearance often associated with high-volume yachts. Quartostile achieved this by keeping the superstructure visually low and spreading the volume through the length of the yacht rather than stacking it above the main deck.

The foredeck plays a far greater role than on a conventional flybridge yacht. Instead of serving as little more than a sunpad area, it becomes one of the yacht's main social spaces, with generous seating, open lounging areas and a hot tub integrated into the layout. Large sections of glazing beneath the foredeck also bring natural light deep into the owner's suite below, turning a part of the yacht that is often closed off into an active living space.

Aft, the 36 Exuma continues the same theme. Large sliding glass panels open the main living areas directly onto the exterior decks, while the beach club creates a broad waterfront terrace at sea level. The emphasis throughout is on movement between spaces rather than separation. Guests can drift naturally between interior lounges, shaded decks and the water's edge without encountering the usual barriers created by doors, bulkheads and level changes.

One of the defining features of the 36 Exuma is its fourth deck. Known as the Nest, this elevated retreat sits above the upper deck and provides a private lounge area with commanding views. It is a feature that distinguishes the 36 Exuma from the earlier 35 Exuma and helped shape the direction of Maiora's later M-Line models. Achieving a four-deck arrangement while remaining below 300GT was a notable piece of packaging and reflects the design team's focus on maximising usable space rather than headline dimensions.

The upper deck also introduces Maiora's "infinity mode" concept. Sliding glass doors and retractable side glazing can open large sections of the deckhouse, allowing the lounge to merge with the exterior spaces. The effect is closer to an open-air pavilion than a traditional enclosed skylounge.

Interior Design

Acube Design approached the interior with the same ideas that shaped the yacht's exterior architecture. Rather than creating a series of formal rooms, the design focuses on openness, light and flexibility.

Large windows dominate the main deck, bringing daylight deep into the interior and maintaining constant views of the water. Pale timber finishes, soft fabrics and carefully integrated lighting create a relaxed atmosphere that feels closer to a modern coastal residence than a traditional motor yacht. The design avoids heavy joinery and visual clutter, allowing the architecture and views to take centre stage.

The main saloon forms the heart of the yacht. Lounge seating and dining areas share the same open environment, while the large glass surfaces strengthen the connection between the interior and exterior decks. When the sliding glass sections are opened, the distinction between inside and outside largely disappears.

The upper deck follows a similar approach. Thanks to the infinity-mode glazing, the space can operate as an enclosed lounge or become a fully open social area connected directly to the surrounding decks. This flexibility reflects the wider Exuma philosophy, which places equal value on life at anchor and life underway.

Practicality remains important beneath the clean styling. The galley is equipped with a full suite of Miele appliances alongside full-height Liebherr refrigeration, while a dumbwaiter links service areas with the upper deck to simplify outdoor dining and entertaining.

Accommodation

The Maiora 36 Exuma accommodates up to 10 guests across five cabins.

The owner's suite occupies one of the yacht's most desirable locations on the main deck. Positioned beneath the foredeck lounge, it benefits from excellent privacy while also enjoying natural light from the distinctive glazing integrated into the forward structure. Main-deck owner accommodation is normally associated with larger yachts and reflects the 36 Exuma's emphasis on owner comfort.

Four guest cabins are located on the lower deck and comprise two VIP suites and two twin cabins with sliding beds that can convert according to guest requirements. Each cabin has its own en suite bathroom.

Crew accommodation is arranged separately for five crew across three cabins, including a dedicated captain's cabin and two twin crew cabins. A crew mess, laundry facilities and dedicated service spaces support extended cruising and charter operation.
