Möbius is a 35.6m motor yacht delivered by American shipyard Ocean Alexander in 2024. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Evan K Marshall, while Arrabito Naval Architects is responsible for her naval architecture.

Key Features

  • Sixth 35R hull built
  • Beach club with gym
  • Wave-piercing bow
  • 31-knot top speed

Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.64m beam and a 2.11m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 199 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the sixth yacht built on the 35R design. She was completed at Ocean Alexander's Kaohsiung yard in Taiwan where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners.

Exterior Design

Möbius is the sixth yacht built on Ocean Alexander's 35R platform, a model that marked a significant change in the builder's design direction. The "R" stands for Revolution, and the series introduced a wide-body crossover concept that delivers the volume of a much larger yacht while remaining below the important 300GT threshold. Designed by Evan K. Marshall with naval architecture from Arrabito Naval Architects, the 35R combines modern styling with practical long-range cruising features across four decks.

The profile is defined by its near-vertical wave-piercing bow, broad beam and strong horizontal lines. Unlike traditional motor yachts that taper quickly forward, the beam carries well towards the bow, creating noticeably more internal volume and allowing Ocean Alexander to develop unusually generous outdoor spaces in the foredeck. The bow itself also helps soften the ride by cutting cleanly through waves while reducing spray.

Dark hull glazing stretches almost continuously along the main deck and lower deck, visually reducing the yacht's height while emphasising its length. Above, the enclosed skylounge replaces the open bridge found on many yachts of this size, giving the upper deck a more residential feel while extending the amount of climate-controlled living space available throughout the year.

Outdoor living is spread across several levels. The aft cockpit flows naturally towards the beach club, where a hydraulically lowering transom creates an extended swim platform at the water's edge. Depending on owner specification, the beach club can also incorporate a gym and sauna, while the flybridge offers another large entertaining space with an outdoor bar, dining area and the option of a spa pool. Wide side decks, generous foredeck seating and multiple lounge areas mean guests can always find sun, shade or privacy as the day changes.

Interior Design

The 35R was conceived to feel more like a waterfront home than a conventional flybridge yacht, and that philosophy shapes the interior layout. Extensive glazing surrounds the main deck, bringing natural light deep into the saloon while maintaining uninterrupted views from almost every seating position. Low-profile furniture preserves those sightlines, so the connection with the sea remains constant throughout the social spaces.

A full-width main deck allows the accommodation and entertaining areas to benefit from the yacht's unusually generous beam. The enclosed skylounge extends the interior across a fourth deck, creating another comfortable lounge that can be enjoyed regardless of weather conditions. This approach also separates quieter relaxation spaces from the activity on the main deck below.

Accommodation

Möbius offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 5 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin 1,900hp MAN V12 engines, Möbius reaches a top speed of 31 knots and cruises comfortably at 27 knots. Her semi-displacement hull balances high-speed capability with the reassuring stability expected from a crossover yacht, allowing owners to cover long distances quickly while maintaining comfortable onboard living.

The 35R's hull was developed to complement the wave-piercing bow, combining efficient cruising characteristics with reduced pitching and spray.
