Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.5m beam and a 1.97m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 275 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
Designed by Alberto Mancini, My Mare combines the low, sporty stance expected of an Azimut Grande with the space and comfort of a much larger tri-deck yacht. Long flowing lines, sculpted hull sides and extensive glazing disguise much of her internal volume, while the sharply drawn bow and sleek superstructure give the 35.3m (115.8ft) yacht an athletic profile that sits low on the water despite offering almost 300GT of accommodation.
My Mare belongs to the Grande 36M model, which replaced the successful Grande 35M with a fundamentally different approach to space. Rather than simply refreshing the styling, Azimut reworked the yacht's layout to make the same overall footprint feel considerably larger. Around 10GT of additional enclosed volume was created, yet the yacht remains below the important 300GT threshold, giving owners the space of a larger superyacht without the extra regulatory burden that comes with crossing it.
The biggest change is the upper deck. The split-level arrangement of the Grande 35M gave way to a semi-walkaround layout that runs almost uninterrupted from the aft terrace to the bow. Guests can move between the main social spaces and the forward lounge on a single level, creating a far more natural flow throughout the yacht.
Azimut also introduced its Infinity Deck concept on the Grande 36M. Three sides of the skylounge are enclosed by retractable glazing that slides almost completely away, turning what would normally be an enclosed upper saloon into an open pavilion. Combined with the semi-walkaround deck, it creates one of the strongest connections between indoor and outdoor living in this size range.
Forward, a glass-sided whirlpool tub is built into the bow, while generous aft terraces continue the emphasis on open-air living. Extensive use of carbon fibre throughout the superstructure allowed Azimut to increase internal volume without excessive weight, working alongside the yard's D2P (Displacement-to-Planing) hull to improve efficiency. Despite carrying around 10 tonnes more displacement than the Grande 35M, the newer model matches, and in some conditions improves upon, the fuel consumption of its predecessor.
Accommodation
My Mare offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 6 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Motor yacht My Mare is capable of reaching a top speed of 24 knots, and comfortably cruises at 18 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
