The 296GT yacht continues Benetti's relationship with British studio RWD, responsible for the exterior design, while Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture has developed the interiors. Benetti's own R&D department is behind the naval architecture, including a new bulbous bow intended to lower resistance at displacement speeds.
The Oasis 36M builds on feedback from owners and crews already using the range, with Benetti applying that experience to circulation, outdoor living, engineering and longer stays at anchor. It develops the established Benetti Oasis concept seen on the Oasis 40M and Oasis 34M, reviewed by YachtBuyer earlier this year, with a larger aft living area, revised service routes and a more efficient hull platform.
New Oasis 36M Gets 82sqm Aft Deck With Fold-Down Wings
The stern remains the defining area of the Oasis 36M. Its Oasis Deck measures 82sqm, with the tender garage moved farther forward so more of the aft section can be dedicated to guests.
Fold-down side wings widen the platform over the water, while a 5.5sqm pool sits between two L-shaped seating areas. A sliding cover can close the pool when required, creating additional usable deck space. From the transom to the entrance of the main salon, Benetti describes a 10m-long uninterrupted guest area running from the water's edge into the yacht.
Outdoor space continues higher up. The sundeck measures 65sqm and stretches for more than 13m, with loose furniture allowing owners to change its arrangement for dining, lounging or entertaining. An optional Jacuzzi is also available. RWD has given the 36M a softer profile than the earlier Oasis yachts, with large sections of glazing running through the superstructure. Benetti lists 70sqm of main deck glazing, while glazing on the upper deck has increased by 30 percent.
Inside the New Benetti Oasis 36M by Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture
The 40sqm main salon measures 8.6m long and 5.5m wide. In the proposed arrangement, the lounge sits aft beside the Oasis Deck, while the dining area occupies the forward end close to the galley and pantry. Two full-height windows, each 3.2m wide, increase natural light, while low storage keeps the view outward largely unobstructed. Alternative furniture arrangements are available for owners wanting a different relationship between the dining and seating areas.
A 34sqm skylounge provides another private guest area on the upper deck of the superyacht, with a concealed pantry, bar and cinema-style seating. Doors lead onto a 37sqm aft terrace that can be arranged for outdoor dining or lounging. Benetti's official model information also lists the terrace at 37sqm.
Forward on the main deck, the 32sqm owner's suite has a bow-facing bed, windows on both sides and a full-beam en-suite. Alternatively, the owner's suite can move to the upper deck with direct access to a private aft terrace, freeing the forward main deck for a lounge, wellness area or second owner's suite.
The standard layout accommodates 10 guests in five cabins, with seven crew in four cabins and separate crew circulation.
Benetti Oasis 36M Targets 10% Lower Hydrodynamic Resistance
Some of the most substantial changes sit below the waterline. Benetti's R&D department has developed a fully submerged bulbous bow specifically for the Oasis 36M's vertical bow hull form.
Benetti expects the new geometry to reduce hydrodynamic resistance by at least 10 percent at 10 knots. The motor yacht is projected to achieve 2,500 nautical miles of range at 10 knots, with fuel consumption expected to remain below 30 liters per hour per engine at that speed.
Fuel capacity stands at 25,000 liters. Benetti says analysis of existing Oasis yachts indicated owners were spending longer periods at anchor, leading the yard to allocate 5,000 liters of capacity to black and grey water to support longer stays away from marinas. Standard propulsion comes from two MAN V8-1200 engines, each rated at 1,200 MHP, for a stated cruising speed of 14 knots and maximum speed of 16 knots. An optional Siemens SISHIP EcoProp hybrid system will also be offered.
New Oasis 36M Technology Targets Lower Noise and Easier Maintenance
Electric actuators replace hydraulic machinery for functions including the garage doors, lifting equipment and Oasis Deck fold-down wings. According to the yard, the change removes hydraulic oil from these systems while reducing mechanical noise and simplifying maintenance.
At 35.60m and 296GT, the Oasis 36M sits only slightly above the existing Oasis 34M in length, but the changes run deeper than the extra meterage. Larger guest areas, alternative owner layouts, new deck machinery and a revised underwater profile suggest Benetti has used the new model to reassess how the Oasis platform operates as well as how it looks.
