Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 8.18m beam and a 2.23m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 346 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in early 2016. This was the twelfth yacht built on the Classic Supreme 132' design. Launched in April 2019 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was completed at Benetti's Viareggio yard in Italy where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners in May 2019.
Exterior Design
Nechida arrived in 2019 during one of the busiest periods in Benetti’s modern history. While the Livorno yard was completing its first “Giga Season”, launching three giga yachts in 100 days including the 107m (351ft) Lana, 107.6m (353ft) Luminosity and 108m (354.3ft) IJE, Viareggio was turning out three Class yachts in less than ten days. Nechida, hull BS012, was one of them and became the twelfth Classic Supreme 132.
Stefano Righini’s exterior is a good example of how Benetti was moving its composite range away from the more traditional Classic look. The 40.24m (132ft) profile still has the substantial displacement proportions expected of the series, but long black window bands, a cleaner sweep through the superstructure and open exterior stairways take some of the weight out of it. From the side, the glazing through the main and upper decks does a lot of the heavy lifting, breaking up the white hull and visually stretching the yacht.
The photograph also shows how much exterior space Righini managed to carve out without making the yacht look overly tall. The foredeck is given over to guests, with broad sunpads and seating well clear of the anchoring gear, while the upper deck aft carries another large social area. Above, the sun deck provides the yacht’s biggest open air space, with a spa pool, loungers, exercise area, barbecue and a teppanyaki table.
That teppanyaki setup was unusual enough for Benetti to single it out when Nechida was launched. A griddle sits directly in the centre of the dining table, so guests eat around the same surface on which the food is cooked. It is a small detail, but a good one, because it turns dinner into part of the entertainment instead of simply adding another outdoor dining table.
The Classic Supreme 132 also incorporated several clever exterior details across the series, including retractable bridge wings, open steel and teak stairways and substantial glazing on both principal decks. Nechida adds plenty of outdoor room to that base, with shaded dining on the main deck, a large upper terrace and the foredeck lounge giving guests several places to move between as the sun changes.
Interior Design
Nechida’s interior combines work by François Zuretti and the Benetti Interior Style Department using moked eucalyptus, matte tay wood and richly patterned marble including Port Laurent, Sahara Noir and Rino White.
The balance is lighter than that list might suggest. Pale eucalyptus is used against darker timber in smaller doses, so the yacht never feels weighed down by the stronger materials. Metallic effect leathers add another layer, while the marble introduces more character in bathrooms and detail areas without taking over the rooms.
Full height windows are a major part of the main and upper deck interiors. In the main saloon, the glazing runs alongside a large lounge and dining table for ten, giving what is already a wide room much better visual connection with the water. The overall arrangement is open and sociable, with enough separation between seating and dining to make both work without slicing the room into compartments.
The upper saloon gives guests another proper living room, with sofas, coffee tables and direct access through glass doors to the large aft deck. That second saloon comes into its own on a yacht carrying 12 guests, particularly on longer trips when everybody does not necessarily want to gather in the same room after dinner.
Accommodation
Nechida currently accommodates up to 12 guests across six cabins, which makes her particularly interesting within the Classic Supreme 132 series.
The full beam owner’s suite occupies the forward main deck, with large windows, a private study, dressing space and a substantial en suite. This was already one of the stronger features of the Classic Supreme platform, giving the owner a large private area away from the lower guest deck.
An additional VIP cabin sits on the upper deck and is currently used as a massage room. Keeping the room capable of returning to guest use gives Nechida useful flexibility: an owner can retain the wellness space for normal cruising and bring the sixth cabin back into service when required.
Four more guest cabins are arranged below, with two VIP doubles aft and two twins forward.
Crew accommodation is positioned forward and separated from the guest cabins, with capacity for around seven crew.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 2000 M72) 12-cylinder 1,450hp engines, motor yacht Nechida is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 45,406 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 3,500 nautical miles at 11 knots.
Amenities
Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Nechida also features a deck jacuzzi for cooling off.
