  • Beach club
  • Sky lounge retreat
  • Full-beam owner's suite with balcony

Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.47m beam and a 2.01m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 250 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the fourth yacht built on the 37L design. She was completed at Ocean Alexander's Kaohsiung yard in Taiwan where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners.

Exterior Design

Nirvana II is an Ocean Alexander 37L, the flagship of the Legend Series when she was delivered in 2023. Originally conceived as a one-off commission for a long-standing Ocean Alexander owner, the design proved so successful that it became the yard's largest production yacht. It also brought features normally found on much larger yachts into the 36m (118ft) class, without losing the practicality expected from a semi-custom cruising yacht.

From the outside, the 37L carries its size well. Evan K. Marshall's design avoids the towering look often associated with quad-deck yachts by using long horizontal overhangs and uninterrupted bands of dark glazing to visually lower the profile. The effect is a yacht that appears longer and sleeker than her substantial 7.47m (24.5ft) beam might suggest.

The near-vertical bow has become an Ocean Alexander signature. Beyond giving the yacht a modern profile, it allows more usable volume in the forward sections, helping create the generous owner's suite and expansive foredeck without compromising the yacht's confident stance. Three levels of floor-to-ceiling glazing wrap around the superstructure, filling the interior with natural light while creating the impression of one continuous band of glass.

The outdoor spaces have been arranged for life at anchor as much as time underway. A beach club at the water's edge combines a fold-down swim platform with space for relaxing beside the sea, while the upper aft deck centres on a full-service bar with a grill, sink, refrigerator and ice maker. Above that, the sky deck adds another layer to the yacht, giving owners and guests a quiet retreat with panoramic views that would normally be reserved for much larger superyachts.

Interior Design

Nirvana II has been designed to make the most of her wide-body layout, creating the feeling of a considerably larger yacht inside. The broad beam carries through every deck, giving the main saloon, owner's suite and guest accommodation noticeably more floor space than many yachts of a similar length.

Natural light is one of the defining themes. Full-height glazing wraps around the main deck, opening up wide views from the saloon and reducing the sense of separation between the interior and the sea outside. Power-operated sliding glass doors connect the saloon directly with the aft deck, allowing both spaces to work together when entertaining.

Ocean Alexander has also focused on the practical side of ownership. The yacht uses the yard's Octoplex vessel management system, bringing lighting, electrical systems and onboard monitoring together through a single integrated platform. Hidden engineering details also play their part, including recessed engine room ventilation that reduces the chance of taking water aboard in rough conditions and contributes to the yacht's clean exterior lines.

Below decks, the engine room reflects Ocean Alexander's engineering-led approach. Finished almost like a clean room, with high-gloss paintwork, commercial-grade lighting and generous access around the machinery, it has been planned to make servicing and routine maintenance as straightforward as possible during extended cruising.

Accommodation

Nirvana II accommodates up to 10 guests across five ensuite cabins, with accommodation centred around a full-beam owner's suite on the main deck.

The owner's cabin is one of the highlights of the 37L. Wide glazing on both sides fills the room with natural light, while a fold-out private balcony creates a direct connection with the sea. It gives the suite a more residential feel, somewhere to enjoy the view without leaving the privacy of the cabin, and remains an unusual feature on a production yacht of this size.

The remaining guest cabins sit on the lower deck, providing flexible accommodation for family or friends while maintaining good separation from the owner's suite above. The yacht's generous beam allows each cabin to feel open and comfortable, with ensuite bathrooms throughout.

Crew accommodation is arranged for up to five crew, allowing Nirvana II to support extended cruising with a professional service team on board. The layout keeps guest and crew routes largely separate, helping maintain privacy while allowing the yacht to operate efficiently during longer passages or busy periods of entertaining.
