The 42m motor yacht Off Hire is being constructed by Italian shipyard Custom Line and is due to be delivered in 2026. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Zuccon International Project, while Advanced Yacht Technology is responsible for her naval architecture.

Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 8.14m beam and a 2.29m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 348 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the fifteenth yacht built on the Navetta 42 design. Launched in March 2026 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.

Exterior Design

The Custom Line Navetta 42/16 yacht carries a low, stretched profile that leans more modern than traditional displacement lines. Two long bands of dark glazing run almost unbroken along the main and upper decks, and they pull the eye aft, so the yacht looks longer and lower than her 41.8m (137.1ft) length suggests.

The superstructure steps cleanly across three decks, with sharp overhangs and a strong horizontal emphasis. The aft sections are deep and open, with clearly defined terraces on each level, so the upper deck and main deck both read as usable outdoor spaces rather than narrow walkarounds.

Up top, the sun deck sits under a fixed hardtop with an open aft section, so it splits naturally between shade and sun. The mast structure is compact and central, which keeps the deck uncluttered around it.

Forward, the foredeck is kept low and clean, without heavy built-in furniture visible in this configuration, so it works as a quiet sunpad or passage area rather than a main social zone.

Interior Design

The interior of the Custom Line Navetta 42/16 is arranged around volume and clear sightlines. The main deck saloon centres on a large dining table for 10 guests, with generous sofas positioned around it, so the space supports both formal dining and relaxed use.

Full-height windows bring in natural light, and the layout avoids heavy divisions, so the saloon reads as one continuous space. A framed television integrates into the main bulkhead, and it is set up for cinema-style viewing without dominating the room.

Materials combine light wood surfaces with darker walnut flooring, and this contrast runs throughout the yacht. Matt lacquer finishes, steel detailing and leather inserts add texture, while brown tones in the furnishings keep the palette consistent.

The design uses storage and layout choices to extend the sense of space, and this is most clear in the master suite, where a large bathroom with Bianco Gioia marble and a full-height shower sits to starboard.

Accommodation

The Custom Line Navetta 42/16 accommodates up to 10 guests in five cabins. The owner’s suite sits on the main deck, so it benefits from natural light and separation from the guest cabins.

On the lower deck, four VIP cabins complete the layout, all arranged as doubles with en suite bathrooms. Storage is built into each cabin, and the layout reflects a focus on longer stays and guest comfort.

Crew accommodation supports up to seven, and the separation between crew and guest areas allows service to run without interruption.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (C32 ACERT V12) 12-cylinder 1,469hp engines, motor yacht Off Hire is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 10 knots. She has a maximum range of 3,000 nautical miles at 10 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
