The 102'9" classic yacht Piet Hein was delivered to her owners in 1937 by De Vries Lentsch. De Voogt is responsible for her naval architecture.
Design & Construction
Designed around a steel hull and a teak superstructure she features a 18' beam and a 5'1" draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 151 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
Piet Hein is instantly recognisable as a pre-war yacht, carrying the graceful proportions and classic elegance of her era. The hull is painted white with a fine sheerline and a gently flared bow, punctuated by a neat run of round portholes. Her superstructure is finished in varnished wood, giving her a warm, traditional character that contrasts beautifully with the white topsides.
The yacht’s decks are long and open, running from a raised foredeck through to an extended aft saloon, with covered seating areas and classic fittings. The wheelhouse is enclosed and paneled in wood, topped with a simple mast and modern radar equipment. Aft, a canvas awning can enclose the open deck space, keeping the character of the original lines.
Accommodation
Piet Hein offers accommodation for up to 6 guests in 3 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 5 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Motor yacht Piet Hein is capable of reaching a top speed of 12 knots, and comfortably cruises at 11 knots.
