Due to be delivered in 2027, Project Berlin is a 30.85m motor yacht built by Dutch shipyard Van der Valk. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Guido de Groot Design, while Diana Yacht Design is responsible for her naval architecture.

Key Features

  • Aft sundeck spa pool
  • Expansive bow lounging area
  • Raised pilothouse profile
  • Asymmetric superstructure layout

Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-planing aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 7.4m beam and a 2m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 175 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in late 2025 with the keel laid under the project name 'Berlin'.

Exterior Design

Project Berlin features a modern raised pilothouse profile with clean lines and a balanced stance on the water. Her 7m (23ft) beam is used to full effect, giving the yacht a broad, settled look without appearing bulky.

The yacht is built around a semi-displacement hard chine hull, a form chosen to balance efficiency, stability, and speed while supporting generous internal volume. The hard chine contributes to predictable handling and helps control spray, while the semi-displacement shape suits long periods aboard and mixed cruising profiles.

The sundeck is arranged around an aft spa pool framed by wraparound sunpads, with additional seating, dining areas, and a substantial outdoor galley complete with barbecue. Forward, the bow deck provides another informal lounging zone with seating and sunpads, extending usable space across the yacht.

An asymmetric layout has been applied to the superstructure, allowing interior spaces to grow without increasing overall beam. The result is generous deck circulation and uninterrupted views, with a clear focus on everyday usability rather than formality.

Interior Design

The interior is conceived as a practical liveaboard environment rather than a high-traffic charter space. The main salon is the centrepiece, defined by unusually large opening windows measuring nearly 3m by 2m (9.8ft by 6.6ft). These provide natural ventilation and strong visual links to the water, a notable engineering achievement at this size.

Accommodation

Project Berlin offers accommodation for up to 6 guests in 3 suites. Instead of four guest cabins usually found on the lower deck, this yacht houses two large VIP ensuite staterooms, each designed for long stays. Forward on the main deck, the full-beam owner’s suite benefits from similarly oversized opening windows, bringing light and airflow into a space intended for daily living rather than short visits.

She is also capable of carrying up to 3 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 2000 M96L) 1,920hp engines, motor yacht Project Berlin is capable of reaching a top speed of 24 knots, and comfortably cruises at 22 knots.
