Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure. The yacht has an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
Project Milky Ways presents a long, slender semi-planing aluminium hull with a near-plumb bow and a clean forward stem. The bow profile carries volume well forward, increasing internal capacity while maintaining a fine water entry suited to sustained cruising speeds.
The sheer line is restrained and gently rising, keeping the profile level and continuous from bow to stern. This avoids abrupt changes in height and supports the yacht’s emphasis on usable volume rather than visual drama.
Freeboard is generous along the entire length, particularly forward, where it supports interior headroom and contributes to protected deck spaces. Amidships, the hull sides remain close to vertical, maximising beam and internal width before tapering gradually aft.
Hull glazing is arranged in elongated horizontal bands, integrated flush into the topsides. The window geometry follows the internal layout rather than decorative symmetry, indicating lower-deck accommodation and service spaces without interrupting the hull’s structural continuity.
Above the hull, the superstructure is built in layered, flowing forms rather than stepped terraces. Curved cut-outs along the sides create recessed exterior walkways and terraces, breaking down the yacht’s mass while maintaining strong horizontal flow.
The aft profile is multi-level and open, shaped around outdoor living rather than a single dominant deck. The stepped arrangement supports the “people pad” terrace and main deck aft, keeping exterior spaces close to the waterline without compressing the stern geometry.
The mast structure is compact and centrally aligned, with communications and radar equipment grouped to limit visual height and preserve balance. It sits cleanly within the upper deck silhouette rather than acting as a visual extension.
Interior Design
The interior of Project Milky Ways is organised around clear separation between family use and business hosting, rather than a single dominant social space. Circulation routes are deliberate, allowing multiple areas to operate independently without overlap.
On the main deck, the layout supports formal and informal use through distinct rooms rather than open-plan sprawl. A dedicated cigar lounge sits apart from the main social flow and includes a fold-down balcony, creating a contained space suited to evening use or smaller groups. Large window openings maintain visual connection without turning the space into a thoroughfare.
Accommodation
Project Milky Ways offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising an owners cabin located on the main deck, 2 VIP cabins and 2 twin cabins. The full-beam master suite is located on the main deck and connects directly to a private office assigned to the owner’s wife. This creates a self-contained private zone that operates independently from guest accommodation and shared lounges.
The owner’s primary office sits one level above on the bridge deck, adjacent to the skylounge. This area also incorporates a bar and a walk-in wine cellar sized for extended hosting, reinforcing its role as a business-facing environment.
On the lower deck, guest accommodation consists of two large VIP cabins and two twin cabins. Crew spaces benefit directly from the yacht’s forward volume, with larger-than-typical crew cabins, improved working routes, and reduced crossover with guest areas.
Performance & Capabilities
Motor yacht Project Milky Ways is capable of reaching a top speed of 21 knots, and comfortably cruises at 11 knots. She has a maximum range of 3,500 nautical miles at 11 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
