Delivered in 2004, Sassy is a 94'2" motor yacht for sale built by American shipyard Hargrave. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Jack Hargrave, while Yacht Interiors by Shelley is responsible for her interior design.
Key Features
- Extended boat deck for tender
- Cherry wood interior
- Sundeck with hot tub
- Private forward sunbathing area
Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 20' beam and a 6' draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 158 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
Sassy has a straight sheerline that gently rises towards the bow, visually elongating her silhouette. Her hull design incorporates multiple side ledges and a steadily rising chine, giving her a balanced look. The superstructure is defined by soft curves and sweeping window lines that echo across the bridge deck, lending a cohesive and polished feel. Hargrave’s design approach manages to deliver a tri-deck yacht that maintains a proportionate, uncluttered appearance without resembling a layered 'wedding cake' effect, which can sometimes plague yachts in this size range.
The yacht’s exterior spaces are generous and thoughtfully laid out. The sundeck features a sunbathing area alongside a hot tub, creating an ideal spot for relaxation or informal gatherings. Forward on the main deck, a second sunbathing zone offers panoramic sea views and a sense of privacy. A large aft deck provides ample seating and a relaxed, open setting for al fresco dining or lounging, while stairs lead down to an integrated water sports platform at the transom, providing access to the sea and the machinery space beyond.
Sassy’s enclosed bridge is positioned slightly forward of amidships, which allows for an extended boat deck aft. This open space is designed to accommodate a sizeable tender while still leaving room for a lounge area. Access to the foredeck is via the galley, while boarding is typically from the stern through the aft deck leading into the saloon.
For those preferring a more classic layout, Hargrave also offered a version of this model with full side decks, though SASSY retains the original configuration for maximum interior volume. The hull is finished in white, giving polished look that complements her bold lines and purposeful stance.
Interior Design
The interior of Sassy is finished in high-gloss cherry wood, accented by lacewood detailing and a warm, inviting color palette. Curved edges, bull-nosed corners, and sturdy European hardware throughout create a sense of craftsmanship and contemporary elegance. Air-conditioning vents are subtly integrated into the joinery, adding to the seamless appearance of the interior.
The full-beam saloon is a bright and welcoming space, thanks to large panoramic windows that flood the area with natural light. This space is designed for socializing and relaxation, featuring a large seating area, an entertainment center, and a full-service bar. The formal dining area is positioned amidships, creating a natural flow between lounging and dining zones.
Forward of the saloon, the galley is fitted with an eat-in setup, making it a casual, welcoming spot for informal meals or gathering while cooking. The galley also offers direct access to the crew quarters below, supporting smooth operations.
Upstairs, the enclosed pilothouse is accessed via a staircase from the saloon. This space serves as the primary helm station and an additional lounge, offering excellent visibility and a relaxed atmosphere for guests who want to watch the action underway.
Accommodation
Sassy accommodates up to eight guests across four staterooms, all located on the lower deck. The full-beam master suite is positioned amidships, providing a spacious and private retreat. It features a large bed, ample storage, and an en suite bathroom. The guest accommodation includes a double stateroom and two twin cabins, each equipped with Pullman berths to expand sleeping capacity as needed. Each guest cabin has its own ensuite bathroom.
Crew accommodations are for up to four and are located forward, accessed via the galley.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C-30) 12-cylinder 1,550hp engines, motor yacht Sassy is capable of reaching a top speed of 23 knots, and comfortably cruises at 18 knots. With her 3,100 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 500 nautical miles at 24 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
