Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 7.16m beam and a 1.77m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 199 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
Silver Seas is a 32.6-meter (107ft) raised pilothouse motor yacht built entirely in aluminium and launched by Burger Boat Company in 1998. Designed by Don O’Keeffe, she carries a classic American profile with modern refinements. Her sky blue hull contrasts with a crisp white superstructure and boot stripe, framed by varnished teak cappings that add a traditional touch to her lines.
The yacht’s main deck features full walkaround access, with watertight entry doors midship on both sides, and a single door connecting the aft deck to the main saloon. Forward, the bow area offers generous storage and a large sunpad, creating a quiet spot for sunbathing at anchor. Wide side decks lead aft to the sheltered cockpit, fitted with a cushioned bench seat and a high-gloss teak table mounted on a hi-low pedestal that can seat up to ten guests. Wing doors to port and starboard provide protection from the elements and open onto the side decks, while twin staircases aft lead down to a large teak swim platform, fitted with stainless steel safety rails, hot and cold shower, and mooring whips.
On the flybridge, Silver Seas offers expansive guest space, divided into upper helm and social zones. The forward section holds the helm station with twin helm chairs and full electronics, including premium navigation equipment. Bench seating flanks both port and starboard sides. Midships, two generous lounge areas are arranged around hi-low cocktail tables - one in a U-shape and one L-shaped - providing flexible seating for relaxed gatherings. Aft, sun loungers stretch across the deck, with additional storage tucked discreetly throughout. A wet bar area includes a stainless steel sink, fridge, and ice maker, with counter space for food and drink preparation. The flybridge also houses a hydraulic davit to port, with room to stow a tender or toys.
Interior Design
Stepping into the main saloon from the aft deck, guests are greeted by a space that spans the full beam of the yacht, bathed in natural light from oversized windows on all sides. The interior is finished in satin-finished cherry wood, with crown mouldings and detailed valances providing an elegant, understated backdrop. Furnishings include an L-shaped sofa to port and an integrated wet bar, all newly refreshed and designed with comfort in mind. Remote-controlled blinds offer both sheer and blackout settings, letting guests control privacy and light levels with ease.
Forward of the lounge area, the formal dining room is framed by a paneled overhead and separated by a buffet-style storage credenza. The custom dining table seats eight, while additional cabinetry to port includes slotted drawers and locking compartments to secure tableware while underway.
The galley lies just forward, styled as a country kitchen and designed to double as an informal gathering spot. A large U-shaped bench surrounds a generous teak table, creating a welcoming atmosphere for relaxed meals. The space is flooded with natural light and provides great visibility while underway. Top-of-the-line appliances include Sub-Zero refrigeration, Wolf cooking equipment, a Miele dishwasher, wine fridge, and a built-in LED TV. There’s also ample countertop space and a centre island that makes food preparation and serving seamless.
Up a few steps from the lobby is the raised pilothouse, finished in rich wood panelling and fitted with five angled forward windshields, large side windows, and smaller portlights for enhanced peripheral views. A comfortable L-shaped settee sits aft for guest seating, while the captain enjoys a fully adjustable Stidd helm chair. The pilothouse features an advanced navigation suite, including a thermal night vision camera with multiple imaging modes, and leads directly up to the flybridge.
Midships, a day head is located just forward of the dining area beside the portside entry lobby. Opposite is a formal starboard entrance lobby with access to the raised pilothouse, the saloon, and the galley. A watertight door here opens onto the exterior deck. Beneath the pilothouse lies an electronics room, housing AV and comms systems along with ample storage for equipment and supplies.
Accommodation
Silver Seas accommodates up to eight guests across four well-appointed staterooms, all located on the lower deck and accessed via a sweeping staircase from the starboard foyer in the main saloon. A laundry closet is positioned off the lower foyer for easy access.
The master suite sits amidships and spans the full beam. Entry is via double doors leading to a space centered around a king-sized bed with a wooden headboard, flanked by nightstands and shelving. Storage includes a cedar-lined wardrobe, built-in bureaus, and bookshelves. Entertainment is provided through an AV system integrated with the yacht’s central setup, offering satellite TV, DVD, CD, and radio. The master en suite features a unique shared central shower flanked by separate his-and-hers toilets and vanities, each with its own entrance and finished in marble with gold accents.
Guest accommodation includes three further cabins. To port, there’s one with a queen bed and another with over-and-under bunks. On the starboard side, a twin cabin features oversized berths. All cabins are individually climate-controlled, with cedar closets and en suite bathrooms featuring marble finishes and showers. Each stateroom is also fitted with its own entertainment centre.
Crew accommodations are forward of the galley and accessed through a discreet passage. The crew quarters consist of three twin cabins, sleeping up to six crew. The captain’s cabin is forward in the bow and includes a queen berth and a private en suite with a shower. The remaining two crew cabins share a bathroom and shower. This area also includes a laundry station, and each cabin is equipped with individual temperature controls and AV systems. The captain’s quarters include monitoring displays for onboard systems such as navigation, security, anchor watch, alarms, and communication.
