Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 8.47m beam and a 2.66m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 423 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
Zuccon International Project gives Too Cool the broad, high-sided proportions of the SD132, but long bands of dark glazing and the asymmetric deck arrangement stop the 40.7m (133.5ft) hull from feeling too heavy. The sheer stays fairly low and straight, while the superstructure reads in long horizontal layers rather than stacked blocks.
The asymmetry matters because the main deck keeps its side passage to port and the upper deck shifts circulation to starboard. That lets the saloon push farther outboard on one level and the skylounge do the same on the next, so the yacht gains useful interior width without simply making the whole profile bulkier.
At the stern, fold-down side terraces open the beach club into a much broader water-level platform. Seen from above, the arrangement is especially clear: the side wings spread beyond the hull, the central swim platform sits between them and the main-deck aft terrace remains directly above, creating several connected levels rather than one isolated beach area.
Forward, the arrangement becomes more private, with the owner’s suite set ahead of the central stair and service core and a separate outdoor area above. The busiest guest spaces stay aft, while the bow gets a calmer role.
Around 85m² (915ft²) of flybridge adds another substantial outdoor area, with sunpads, bar facilities and room for dining, while a separate forward living space brings in a small pool and more sunbathing space. The deck programme is spread well across the yacht instead of relying on one oversized aft terrace to do everything.
Tender handling has also been kept away from the beach club. The SD132 uses side-loading garages, with the main tender launched transversely through the hull side and a second storage area available for toys or a rescue boat, so the stern stays clear for guests.
Interior Design
The same asymmetric thinking continues inside, where the main saloon gains extra width to starboard and the upper skylounge picks up the advantage on the opposite side. Large windows run through both principal guest levels and help keep the rooms open despite the yacht’s substantial volume.
On the main deck, the saloon and dining area sit aft of the central lobby, with the enclosed galley pushed forward to port. The layout itself is fairly straightforward, but the extra width and long glazing change how those spaces feel in use.
A second saloon on the upper deck gives guests another proper indoor room rather than turning the whole level into outdoor living. It also works naturally with the large aft terrace outside, so the upper deck can function as a separate social area when the main deck is busy.
Quite a lot of the yacht’s centre is given over to stairs, service routes, pantry spaces and the main circulation core. That may not be glamorous, but it keeps guest rooms around the perimeter and leaves the glazing where it matters.
Accommodation
Too Cool accommodates up to 10 guests in five suites, with quarters for up to eight crew. The owner’s suite sits forward on the main deck and takes the full beam, with a separate study and dressing area before the bedroom itself.
Four further double guest cabins are arranged on the lower deck around the central stair lobby, rather than being stretched deep into the bow. Crew accommodation sits farther forward with its own service spaces, which gives the guest deck a cleaner division between private and working areas.
Performance & Capabilities
Twin Caterpillar C32 diesels producing 1,622hp each give motor yacht Too Cool a top speed of 17 knots, while economical cruising sits around 11 knots. With 42,000 litres of fuel aboard, maximum range is 3,200nm.
The semi-displacement hull suits the yacht’s character well because Too Cool carries far more volume and outdoor space than a conventional fast 40m yacht but still has enough speed for normal Mediterranean or Caribbean cruising. The side garages, broad stern terraces and five-suite layout make sense in that context: this is a yacht built around space and range first, over chasing 20-plus knots.
