Horizon PC68A Rivals

Accommodation

If accommodating guests overnight is your main concern, then the Horizon PC68A which offers well-appointed accommodation for up to 6 guests with its 3 cabin layout option does not match its rivals. Many of its competitors including the Sunreef Yachts 70 Sunreef offer slightly more guest accommodation sleeping up to 12 guests in 6 cabins, making them better choices for those seeking to maximise the number of family and friends they can sleep onboard. However, for maximum comfort for the owner, the PC68A features a master cabin with an en-suite bathroom and hull side windows and all cabins have dedicated en-suite bathrooms for family or guest convenience. Equivalently, the Aquila 70 and Prestige M8 are also only designed for smaller groups offering up to 5 cabins, however they still offer an exceptional level of comfort for family or group vacations.

Performance

In terms of cruising performance, the Horizon PC68A leads the way with an impressive cruising speed of 20 knots thanks to its twin 850hp MAN i6-850 engines and maximum speed of 25 knots at 2,300rpm. Closely followed by, the Lazzara Yachts LPC 300 with a respectable cruising speed of 16 knots. The Prestige M8 also impresses with a cruising speed of 15 knots. On the other hand, for those not in a hurry the Prestige M8, with the slowest cruising speed of 15 knots, emphasizes stability and comfort over outright speed and enjoying the journey over the destination.

Unique Characteristics

Each yacht also brings unique features to the forefront. The Sunreef Yachts 70 Sunreef impresses with its extensive range of 3,000 nautical miles, ideal for long voyages. The shallow draft of the Aquila 70 allows it to navigate waters inaccessible to deeper vessels. The performance of the Lazzara Yachts LPC 300 is especially impressive, with a top speed of 21 knots and cruising speed of 16 knots.

Summary

Despite stiff competition, the Horizon PC68A stands out with notable features and design elements. These yachts cater to a wide range of preferences and needs, making the choice a matter of personal taste and specific requirements in the world of luxury yachting.
