Design & Construction
Designed around a planing aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 7.38m beam and a 1.74m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 227 GT (Gross Tonnes).
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.
Exterior Design
The 34.8m (114ft) Agartha carries a lean, low-profile shape typical of late-1980s Dutch performance yachts, with a long aluminium superstructure, fine entry and deep-V planing hull designed for high-speed cruising. Built by Porsius Yachts in Holland, her all-aluminium construction keeps weight under control while supporting twin 2,610hp MTU engines capable of pushing the yacht to 32 knots. Large hull pockets conceal the anchors neatly within the bow, keeping the profile clean when underway or at anchor.
The hull itself has pronounced underwater lines with stabilising keel sections and Vosper fin stabilisers fitted amidships. A large hydraulic bow thruster supports manoeuvrability, while the hydraulic swim platform aft doubles as a tender handling area. From beneath the hull, the yacht’s engineering focus becomes clear, with substantial running gear, commercial-grade piping and oversized mechanical systems designed around reliability as much as speed.
Wide teak side decks lead forward to a spacious foredeck where the superstructure rises gradually toward the enclosed pilothouse and flybridge. Although the teak now requires replacement, the underlying deck structure still appears solid throughout the walkthrough inspection. Boarding gates are positioned on both sides for alongside mooring access, while a long telescopic passerelle extends well clear of the stern platform for Med-style docking.
The aft deck benefits from the yacht’s 7.4m (24.3ft) beam, creating a broad exterior lounge with built-in seating and a concealed wet bar. Large windows and low bulwarks maintain strong visual connection with the water, while the near-level transition between aft deck and saloon creates one continuous social space.
Above, the flybridge sits beneath a hardtop with removable canvas enclosures. The space includes multiple seating and dining arrangements, sunpads and an exterior helm station with open visibility once the side enclosures are removed. Extendable tables increase flexibility for dining or entertaining, while the raised position gives uninterrupted views over the bow.
At water level, the oversized swim platform extends further outward with an additional section that can be teak-clad to enlarge the beach area. Stairs connect directly up to the aft deck, while side access routes lead toward the engine room and additional crew quarters aft.
Interior Design
Agartha’s interior reflects the warm, solid feel of classic Dutch yacht construction, with extensive use of timber flooring, large windows and practical layouts designed around long stays aboard. The main saloon has unusually low window lines for a yacht of this era, bringing natural light deep into the space while maintaining clear outward visibility from seated positions. Multiple lounge arrangements spread across the saloon around coffee tables, while a large circular dining table forms the centrepiece aft.
Forward of the main saloon sits a separate lounge area with panoramic forward views, built-in seating and substantial storage beneath the seating bases. The space functions as a secondary relaxation area and could potentially convert into an additional cabin during a future refit.
The galley is oversized for a yacht of this length and has already received modern upgrades. Stainless steel worktops run throughout the space, including a large circular prep surface with integrated sink and a substantial central island fitted with a six-zone Siemens induction cooktop. Extensive storage surrounds the room, while large sliding windows provide ventilation and natural light. A separate crew pantry and dedicated access routes allow service movement without disturbing guest areas.
The enclosed pilothouse reflects the yacht’s original long-range operating intent. Large navigation consoles wrap around the helm, combining older analogue systems with later additions from Raymarine, B&G and Icom. A large chart table and raised seating area behind the helm create a practical command centre feel, while preserved technical manuals, engine documentation and original drawings remain onboard.
Accommodation
Agartha accommodates up to eight guests across four cabins, with additional accommodation for up to six crew split between forward and aft crew areas.
The guest accommodation sits on the lower deck and benefits from the decision to fit only four cabins rather than a denser five-cabin arrangement. As a result, each guest cabin gains noticeably more floor area and storage volume. Three twin guest cabins occupy the forward and amidships sections of the lower deck, each fitted with ensuite bathrooms that include sinks, toilets and rounded shower compartments.
Amidships, the full-beam master suite takes advantage of the yacht’s wide beam with four large windows bringing in natural light from both sides. The suite includes a seating area, dressing corner, Samsung television, two substantial walk-in wardrobes and extensive cabinetry for long-term cruising. The ensuite bathroom spans a large footprint with twin sinks, a separate toilet area and a rounded shower enclosure.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 396 TB94) 2,610hp engines, motor yacht Agartha is capable of reaching a top speed of 32 knots, and comfortably cruises at 30 knots. With her 35,700 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 3,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.
