Designed by Omega Architects with interiors by Luca Dini Design & Architecture, the approximately 760GT Heesen yacht is scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2029 and will accommodate up to 12 guests across six staterooms.
Construction Begins on Heesen's Anniversary Edition
The keel-laying ceremony took place earlier this month at Talsma, Heesen's long-standing steel hull construction partner in the northern Netherlands. In keeping with maritime tradition, Heesen CEO Jeroen van der Meer completed the ceremonial weld in the presence of a Lloyd's Register surveyor before a 1978 coin - marking the year the shipyard was founded - was placed inside the keel.
The milestone officially marks the start of construction for what Heesen describes as its anniversary edition. Launch is planned for October 2028 to coincide with the builder's 50th year, with delivery following during the first quarter of 2029.
The yacht for sale will allow a future owner to personalize significant aspects of the interior while benefiting from a proven engineering platform that shortens the overall build schedule compared with a fully custom project.
Wellness Takes Priority Throughout the Layout
Project Kansei takes its name from the Japanese concept of kansei, which broadly relates to designing around human emotion and experience. Heesen has interpreted the philosophy through three internal principles - Human, Health and Happiness - with a layout centered on wellbeing rather than traditional luxury amenities alone.
Luca Dini Design & Architecture worked closely with Heesen's leadership team to develop an interior that emphasizes natural materials and softer lighting. Backlit rice paper, raffia ceilings and textured finishes are intended to create a calm atmosphere throughout the yacht.
The biggest departure from a conventional superyacht arrangement comes on the main deck aft, where a gym and dedicated yoga space replace the more typical lounge area. These spaces extend directly onto an outdoor terrace complete with a juice bar. Wellness facilities continue on the lower deck, where guests will find a spa area featuring a sauna, hammam and an experiential shower incorporating snow, mist and water effects.
Heesen Interiors, the shipyard's dedicated joinery facility in Winterswijk, will manufacture the bespoke interior.
Updated Platform Builds on Owner Feedback
Although Project Kansei introduces a new design direction, the motor yacht for sale is built on lessons learned from Heesen's established steel platform.
According to the shipyard, feedback gathered from owners, captains and chief engineers operating previous yachts in the series has directly influenced several practical updates. The swim platform has been extended by one meter to create more usable space at the water's edge, while a transformer platform will simplify boarding, swimming and launching water toys.

Like other recent Smart Custom projects from the Dutch builder, Project Kansei pairs a fully engineered platform with opportunities for owners to tailor the interior and selected elements of the layout without extending the construction timeline associated with a fully bespoke yacht.
Project Kansei will be powered by twin MTU 8V 4000 M63 diesel engines, producing a projected top speed of 15.5 knots. At an economical cruising speed of 12 knots, the yacht is expected to deliver a transatlantic range of approximately 4,500 nautical miles, placing her alongside Heesen's latest long-range steel models.
Project Kansei is on the market with Heesen and is currently asking €66,000,000.
Heesen Continues Busy Build Program
According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch, the world's largest yacht database, Heesen currently has nine yachts under construction or on order across its aluminum and steel ranges, reflecting sustained demand for its builds. Recent activity includes the launch of the 57-meter full-custom Project Setteesettanta and the delivery of the 55-meter Pa'lante, while the 50-meter Project Sophia has completed successful sea trials ahead of delivery.
Ongoing work also includes major projects such as the 72.3-meter Project Ananda, alongside the 56.7-meter Project Evita and 55-meter Project Diana, both due in 2027, underscoring continued momentum across Heesen’s speculative and owner-commissioned programs in the 50 to 70-meter segment.
