Design & Construction

Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 13.2m beam and a 3.75m draft. The yacht is built over 5 decks with an internal volume of 2,113 GT (Gross Tonnes).

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in March 2017 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in June 2017.

Exterior Design

Delivered by Lürssen in 2017, Aurora spans 74 meters (242.8 feet) and carries the strong, purposeful lines characteristic of the German builder’s full-custom projects. Her exterior was crafted by Winch Design, who gave her a refined profile with subtle nods to early 20th-century transatlantic liners. These cues are reinforced by polished stainless steel detailing and classically styled round portholes, which bring both natural light and nostalgic charm into key areas like the main stairwell.

The upper deck aft is arranged for relaxed entertaining, with a large lounge space ideal for sunbathing or socialising. A removable awning provides adaptable shade, while a 12-seat dining table sets the scene for alfresco meals. Forward on the top deck, an intimate observation lounge features a daybed and forward-facing bar seating. Aft of this area is a gym with floor-to-ceiling views and two large skylights, ensuring both light and scenery are never in short supply. Glass doors lead out to an aft terrace, where guests can enjoy a Jacuzzi and generous sunpad space.

The main deck centers around a large pool framed by L-shaped seating and twin buffet bars, while the starboard side holds another buffet setup and the port side features a J-shaped bar. Hydraulic bathing steps descend from the swim platform for easy access to the sea. The yacht’s tenders are housed aft on the lower deck and deployed via shell doors and horizontal davits, keeping the main deck free for guest enjoyment.

With her open-plan saloon and racing-inspired bar, Aurora welcomes guests into a world of character.

Interior Design

Inside, Aurora is a deeply personal creation that blends Art Deco influence with contemporary craftsmanship. Winch Design was responsible for both her layout and interior styling, working closely with the owner to capture the essence of the 1920s while ensuring the yacht felt like a warm, modern home for a family. The result is a rich, immersive aesthetic where mahogany paneling meets decorative lighting and a curated collection of early 20th-century-inspired artworks.

Art Deco themes continue throughout, from the saloons to the finer detailing on furnishings and lighting fixtures. The upper deck saloon flows in an open-plan layout that encourages connection, with comfortable seating zones and a motor racing-inspired bar that adds a characterful focal point. A number of pieces displayed along the bridge deck bring personality to the shared spaces, and the sky lounge in particular is noted for its standout design and artwork.

The lighting scheme on board is carefully considered across all decks, designed to bring warmth and depth to every space. The overall feeling is one of timeless elegance with a playful, creative edge - a yacht made not just to admire, but to live in and enjoy.

Accommodation

Aurora accommodates up to 14 guests across seven cabins, with each guest suite designed to feel distinct and personal. The owner was closely involved in planning every detail of the accommodation layout, prioritising comfort and character over uniformity. Every guest stateroom has its own unique style, shaped around the overarching Art Deco narrative and brought to life with thoughtful materials and antique touches.

The owner’s suite occupies the upper deck and is positioned to take full advantage of the yacht’s views and natural light. It also features antique artwork as a visual centerpiece, underscoring the attention to detail that defines the interior. Forward of this area, the teak-clad foredeck serves as a private retreat, with dedicated lounge zones exclusively for the owner's use.

In addition to the guest accommodation, Aurora carries space for a crew of up to 21. Crew areas are designed to support smooth service and efficient operations across all decks, while maintaining privacy and comfort for those living on board.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 4000 M63) 2,682hp engines running at 1800rpm, motor yacht Aurora is capable of reaching a top speed of 18 knots, and comfortably cruises at 14 knots.

The pool on Aurora’s main deck is built for social moments, framed by seating and twin bars.

Amenities

Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort, while underwater lights create a dazzling light display when the sun goes down. Aurora also features deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
