The sale was announced by Moran Yacht & Ship, which brokered the transaction and will oversee the Lurssen project throughout construction, managing the build from contract signing through commissioning, sea trials and final delivery.
Although many aspects of the yacht remain confidential, Project Elusive is expected to measure 122.5 meters with a gross tonnage of approximately 5,500GT. Built with a steel hull, she will feature a 16.8-meter beam, a 4.4-meter draft and accommodation for up to 22 guests across 11 staterooms.
As owner's representative, Moran Yacht & Ship will supervise every stage of the yacht, including technical specifications, naval architecture review, outfitting and sea trials. Sean Moran will lead the project as Head of Construction.
Commenting on the sale, Sean Moran said the company's role is to ensure an owner's vision is delivered on schedule and within budget, drawing on experience gained from more than 65 new-build projects completed across leading shipyards worldwide.
According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch, the largest yacht database in the world, Lurssen currently has eight yachts under construction, ranging from around 80 meters to more than 140 meters. Scheduled for delivery in 2027 Project Defy and with an estimated 10,500GT, she is expected to become one of the largest private yachts ever built, featuring expansive outdoor terraces, a beach club, helipad and hybrid propulsion system.
Another standout project is the 101m Project Ziggy, scheduled for delivery in 2028. Designed inside and out by Harrison Eidsgaard, the 4,018GT superyacht features extensive structural glazing, a full-beam sky lounge and owner's deck, plus a dramatic multi-tier beach club built around a sheltered pool and sea-level leisure area. Following her technical launch earlier this year, the project has entered the outfitting phase ahead of final delivery.
