- Flybridge with centerline helm
- Owned by singer-actress Frances Langford
- Air-conditioned, enclosed aft deck dining area
Design & Construction
Designed around a full displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 21'1" beam and a 6'2" draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 119 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
Chanticleer features a classic exterior design with a navy blue hull and a white superstructure, complemented by teak cappings. The yacht's spacious decks and open areas allow for easy movement and accessibility. Boarding is possible from both port and starboard sides, providing routes to both the fore and aft sections.
The aft deck is fully covered and enclosed, featuring an air-conditioned dining area with a compass rose "C" table and matching chairs. This space can also be used for al fresco dining with ample natural ventilation. A large aft door opens to the cockpit, and there is a spiral staircase leading to the boat deck.
The flybridge and boat deck offer significant space, with the flybridge equipped with a centerline helm and control stations on both port and starboard. The boat deck includes additional space that was once used as a helipad.
Interior Design
As you step through the sliding glass door, you enter the saloon, a space defined by rich mahogany and leather finishes. This area includes a gentlemen's bar, with large windows running the entire length on both sides for panoramic views.
Adjacent to the saloon is a day head, maintaining the same style and attention to detail. Moving forward along the starboard side, you'll find a companionway leading to the pilothouse and further to the galley and forward lounge. The pilothouse is designed for practicality, providing the captain with excellent visibility and easy access to all controls and navigational aids.
The forward lounge features a raised full-beam U-shaped settee and two teak tables, creating a casual setting for relaxed conversations, with abundant natural light enhancing the area.
Accommodation
Chanticleer offers accommodation for up to 8 guests in 4 suites comprising an owners cabin, 1 VIP cabin, 1 twin cabin and 1 cabin that can operate as twin or double. The accommodation deck features a full-beam master stateroom located amidship, providing ample space and privacy. This master suite includes an ensuite head for convenience. Additionally, the aft VIP stateroom offers a unique decor that pays homage to Chanticleer's storied past and is also equipped with an ensuite head.
For additional guests, there are two guest staterooms that share a third head. This configuration ensures a comfortable and private experience for all on board.
The crew quarters for up to four are thoughtfully situated forward and accessed from the galley. These quarters include a crew's mess, a captain's cabin with an ensuite head, a chef's cabin, and a third cabin with three single berths.
