Key Features
- Curved infinity pool aft
- Foredeck Helipad
- Large beach club
- Dark wraparound panoramic windows
Design & Construction
Built with a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure, she has a 19m (62ft) beam and a 5m (16ft) draft. DEEP BLUE is anticipated to have an internal volume of 9,000GT (Gross Tonnes) and is positioned to become one of the world's largest yachts.
At 134.2m (440ft) in length, she is expected to enter high in the Top 100 by length at Rank 23. With her high volume though, DEEP BLUE will also join YachtBuyer’s YB100, which ranks by gross tonnage, at Rank 19 - four places higher.
Exterior Design
Deep Blue is an immense motor yacht with a sleek, multi-level profile. She stretches to 134.2 metres (440ft) in length with a broad beam of 19.8 metres (65ft). Her exterior design layers six expansive decks in soft, flowing curves that taper toward the bow, giving her a sculptural, aerodynamic presence.
Her colour scheme is unusual for a yacht of this size. The hull is white, while the superstructure is finished in metallic blue. Typically, large yachts feature darker hulls with lighter superstructures, but Deep Blue reverses this, with the darker colour concentrated on the upper decks. This top-heavy colour arrangement is rarely seen and gives the yacht a distinctive visual balance.
At the stern, the yacht features a large, open beach club on the lower deck with direct access to the water. Above this, the cascading aft decks create tiered outdoor spaces furnished with sun loungers and seating areas. The upper aft deck is home to a large, curved infinity pool, framed by wide lounging spaces that overlook the water below. The foredeck is open and clear, designed to accommodate a helipad.
The superstructure’s dark, wraparound windows wrap fluidly around the yacht’s upper levels, providing uninterrupted views and adding to the yacht’s streamlined appearance. The central mast, finished in black, rises from the top deck and carries navigation domes and communication equipment in a clean, functional layout. Throughout Deep Blue, her walk-around decks appear wide and easily navigable, designed for smooth movement across all exterior levels.
Interior Design
One of the most striking features is the use of extensive glass, engineered in a new way. Rather than having vertical supports running flush with the glazing, the structural framework is set back by about 30cm (1ft). This creates long, uninterrupted panels of glass without mullions breaking the views, giving the saloons and guest areas an unusually open connection to the sea.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by 8 x diesel MTU (16V 2000 M72) 16-cylinder 1,958hp engines running at 2250rpm, motor yacht Deep Blue is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots.
