Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement fiberglass hull and a GRP superstructure she features a 7.47m beam and a 2.13m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 282 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
Favor is a 38.74m (127.1ft) Crescent Custom Yachts motor yacht with exterior design by Jack Sarin, and her profile reflects the long, swept style of early 2000s North American tri-deck yachts. A raked bow, low superstructure and extended aft sections give her a clean, stretched look, while the 2000 build was later lengthened from 36.9m (121ft) to 38.74m (127.1ft), so the aft deck gained more usable space and crew capacity.
The white fiberglass hull and superstructure keep the lines light, and teak is used where it matters most underfoot, across the skylounge aft deck, main aft deck, cockpit and swim platform. Side decks, foredeck and flybridge use non-skid surfaces instead, so the yacht balances finish with practicality.
Favor has a classic tri-deck stance with a long foredeck, broad house windows and a sheltered flybridge above. The bow runs fine and clean, while the superstructure rises in soft tiers rather than aggressive angles, which suits the yacht’s semi-displacement brief. Oval hull ports and elongated deckhouse windows break up the hull sides, and the overall look stays composed and traditional.
The main deck aft is enclosed and climate controlled, with seating for up to 10 guests around a rectangular varnished table, while the bridge deck aft adds another lounge and dining zone with a beam-wide aft settee and sun loungers. Above, the flybridge forms the main open-air entertainment deck, with dining tables, bar stools, barbecue and, following the 2024 refit, a new custom jacuzzi with surrounding sunbeds. Forward of the pilothouse, the bow adds two more seating areas, so guests have quieter spaces away from the aft social decks.
At the stern, the hydraulic passerelle and swim platform are designed to keep boarding and water access simple. That practical thinking runs through the yacht, and it is part of what shaped the original project as well as the later extension.
Interior Design
Inside, Favor uses maple wood as the base finish, and that gives the interior a lighter, warmer tone than darker gloss joinery would have done. The layout is open and bright, with a main saloon that combines a lounge and formal dining area while keeping the atmosphere easy rather than stiff.
The original interior brief aimed for a balance between casual and formal use, and that still reads clearly. Maple panelling and lacewood detailing frame the main saloon, while a cabinet between the lounge and dining areas helps define each zone without fully separating them. The room also conceals some more theatrical elements, including a rising television set between the columns in the original layout, so technology does not dominate the space when not in use.
Forward, the galley is unusually generous for this size and sits close to the dining area, with a pass-through opening between the two as well as the option to close the space off with a privacy panel. Marble countertops, dual ovens, induction cooking, large integrated refrigeration and chef-led planning make this an operational galley rather than a decorative one, while an informal raised booth seating area gives it a more lived-in feel.
In the skylounge, a wet bar sits to port, a day head to starboard, and a desk and oversized couch create a space more suited to evenings or quieter time on board.
Accommodation
Favor accommodates up to 10 guests across five staterooms, and the layout uses separate staircases and zones to give each area more privacy.
The owner’s suite sits forward on the main deck and is one of the yacht’s more unusual features. The main cabin occupies the upper level, while the bathroom and dressing areas sit below in a split-level arrangement. That lower section includes his-and-hers sides with individual sinks, toilets, bidets and walk-in wardrobes, linked by a large multi-head jacuzzi tub that also works as a shower. It is a very specific early-2000s luxury layout, and it still gives the suite a stronger sense of separation than a single-level cabin would.
Guest accommodation is divided into two groups below. Forward of the lower deck are two VIP guest cabins, both en suite, while further aft are two more cabins accessed via a separate stairway. One of these has a custom king-size berth, and the other is a twin that can convert into a double. Earlier arrangements were built with flexibility in mind, including twin beds that could slide together, and that practical thinking still shapes the guest layout.
Crew accommodation sits aft of the engine room and provides space for up to six crew in three cabins, including a captain’s cabin with double bed and en suite.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V-TE92) 2,000hp engines, motor yacht Favor is capable of reaching a top speed of 18 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 27,634 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 3,000 nautical miles at 15 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
