Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 7m beam and a 2.8m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 259 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
Freemont’s profile is classic Benetti, with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure forming clean, purposeful lines. Her hull and superstructure are painted white, a finish that highlights the warm teak decks running fore to aft. The yacht’s rounded transom carries a traditional charm, with an integrated platform right at the stern.
The deck spaces are arranged across three levels. At the aft main deck, there’s an open area for relaxed dining or shaded lounging, while wide side decks give easy passage forward. Her foredeck is broad and uncluttered, furnished with a bank of sunpads that face out to sea. Above, the bridge deck aft offers a second generous space with freestanding dining furniture, and a boat deck carries the tender securely stowed when underway. A stairway rises again to the open sun deck, where additional seating makes the most of the height and panoramic views. Together, these tiers create a mix of sheltered and open-air areas, with plenty of scope for sunbathing, entertaining, or quiet time outdoors.
Interior Design
Inside, the main saloon reveals the warm and distinctive Benetti style of the early 1980s. Walls and cabinetry are clad in golden-toned wood with softly radiused edges, a detail that softens the formality of the space. Large windows bring in natural light, while neutral carpets and cream upholstery create a gentle backdrop. Low, squared coffee tables sit centrally, their rounded corners reflecting the woodwork detail, while a large cream sofa lined with contrasting scatter cushions fills the port side.
The layout blends comfort with practicality. The forward end of the saloon leads to a dining area, where a long table can be set for formal meals. The joinery carries a consistency throughout, with padded wall sections breaking up the wood panels, and brass fittings adding subtle highlights. Overhead, mirrored panels lend brightness and height to the saloon.
Accommodation
Freemont sleeps up to ten guests across five cabins. The full-beam master stateroom lies on the main deck, immediately adjacent to a VIP suite, giving two principal cabins the benefit of main deck light and volume. Three additional guest cabins are arranged on the lower deck, designed to cater for different sleeping arrangements whether for family or friends. Crew are accommodated in quarters for seven, ensuring the yacht can be run with the right support for extended passages and full guest service.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (D353TA) 425hp engines running at 1300rpm, motor yacht Freemont is capable of reaching a top speed of 13 knots, and comfortably cruises at 11 knots. With her 28,800 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 2,400 nautical miles at 10 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
