Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 34'9" beam and a 9'6" draft. The yacht is built over 4 decks with an internal volume of 1,188 GT (Gross Tonnes).

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. She was delivered to her owners in September 2019.

Exterior Design

Life Saga II has a strong, self-assured presence on the water. Her profile mixes crisp modern lines with a more classic sense of form, giving her an athletic look that feels deliberate and considered rather than showy. One of the standout features is her sculpted mast. It’s not just functional – it was designed to mimic the shape of two hands cupping together at the knuckles, without quite touching. That sculptural element adds a bit of artistry to her overall look.

There’s a clear design connection to Admiral’s 2016 launch, motor yacht Ouranos. Both yachts share that distinctive black band of glass running down the middle of each side, created by removing the side decks and replacing them with uninterrupted, full-height glazing. The result is a clean, modern exterior with floor-to-ceiling views and a striking skyscraper-like appearance. But Life Saga II isn’t a sistership. At 65m (213.3ft) with a volume of 1,188GT, she’s 15m (49.2ft) longer than Ouranos and more than twice the size in terms of internal volume.

She’s spread over four decks, each one designed to support an outdoor lifestyle that puts function front and centre. The brief from the owner was clear from day one - “zero showing off and totally functional.” So rather than packing the decks with showpiece features, the focus here is on open space, easy movement, and strong visual flow between inside and out. It’s a yacht that feels personal and purpose-driven, right down to the way her exterior lines support that clean and connected feel.

Interior Design

Step inside Life Saga II and you’re greeted by a calm, layered interior that’s all about comfort, warmth and thoughtful design. Mark Berryman led the interior styling, and his “home away from home” approach is easy to see in the choice of materials and finishes. The palette leans into cappuccino tones: think rich chocolate leather, soft coffee shades, and timberwork in European oak, teak, and walnut. Everything feels tactile and relaxed, with a softness that invites you to settle in.

There are quiet hints of Japanese design throughout. You’ll spot them in the use of slatted timber details, the circular patterns on the bed headboards, and the bold, visible stitching on leather wall panels. Berryman also favours distressed leather, chosen to age well over time and give the yacht an easygoing, lived-in character.

One of the most distinctive features is the owner’s suite. It’s Berryman’s favourite space on board, and it shows. Full-height windows bring in light from both sides, while the metal-finished columns encased in glass create a molten-rock effect that adds drama without being over the top. The layout is slightly unconventional as the bed is set off-centre, there’s a forward-facing bathroom, and a comfortable seating area that keeps the space feeling open and connected.

The owner was keen to avoid repetition, so there’s only one dining table across the whole yacht - a rare choice for a vessel of this size. Flexibility was also a priority, which is why much of the furniture is loose, Italian-made and designed to be rearranged daily depending on the mood or moment.

Practical details weren’t overlooked either. To avoid smells and galley noise affecting guest spaces, the galley was tucked away on the lower deck. Acoustic experts Van Cappellen were brought in to help keep noise and vibration levels down, using triple insulation and thick engine beds to soak up the movement.
