Design & Construction
Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 6.6m beam and a 1.2m draft. The yacht is built over 1 decks with an internal volume of 130 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the sixteenth yacht built on the Mangusta 92 design.
Exterior Design
Smile is a 28m (91.9ft) Mangusta 92, and the profile keeps the low, stretched look that defines this series. The deckhouse sits close to the waterline, while the long, curved glazing runs in one sweep, so the yacht reads as fast even at rest. The silver-toned hull and dark glass contrast cleanly, as well as sharpening that aggressive line from bow to stern.
Teak decks run the full length, and the layout focuses on open-air use. The aft cockpit forms the main social space, with large sunpads and a flexible seating and dining area, so it adapts between lounging and meals without needing fixed arrangements. A retractable hardtop sits above the saloon, and it opens the space to light and air, while also linking the interior and exterior more closely.
Forward, the bow carries another sunbathing zone, set low and protected, so it works as a quieter retreat away from the aft deck. At the stern, the swim platform sits just above the water and integrates with a tender garage, so launching and recovery stay simple as well as keeping the deck clear when not in use.
Interior Design
The saloon follows a clean, understated style, and large side windows bring in steady natural light. The opening roof adds another layer to that, so the space can shift between enclosed and open depending on conditions. Seating and dining areas sit within the same volume, while still keeping enough separation for different uses at the same time.
Materials lean toward a classic European finish, with warm tones and polished surfaces, as well as integrated entertainment throughout. The saloon includes a full media setup, and the system connects across the yacht, so sound and media move easily between spaces.
The layout keeps access simple, with a central staircase leading down to the cabins, as well as a secondary link through the galley, so crew and guests can move without overlap when needed.
Accommodation
Smile accommodates up to 9 guests across four cabins, and the layout includes a full-beam master, two VIP cabins, and one twin with a Pullman berth. All cabins include en suites and integrated entertainment systems.
The master suite sits aft and uses multiple windows along the hull, so it gains strong natural light as well as a more open feel than expected at this level. The en suite includes a large shower designed for two, while the cabin also carries its own seating area and media setup.
The two VIP cabins feature queen-size beds, while the twin cabin converts and adds a Pullman berth, so the layout adapts for mixed guest groups. Crew accommodation supports up to 4 crew members, and it remains fully separate from guest areas to maintain privacy.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 2000 M93) 16-cylinder 2,000hp engines, motor yacht Smile is capable of reaching a top speed of 39 knots, and comfortably cruises at 27 knots. With her 7,800 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 350 nautical miles at 27 knots. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.
