The 32.61m expedition yacht Capricorn Y was delivered to her owners in 2015 by Italian shipyard Cantiere delle Marche. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Hydro Tec S.r.l., while PFA Design is responsible for her interior design.

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 7.7m beam and a 2.6m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 299 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the first yacht built on the Darwin 107 design. Launched in July 2015 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in August 2015.

Accommodation

Capricorn Y offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising an owners cabin, 2 double cabins and 2 twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 6 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (8V2000M72) 8-cylinder 965hp engines, motor yacht Capricorn Y is capable of reaching a top speed of 13 knots, and comfortably cruises at 11 knots. With her 50,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 5,000 nautical miles at 10 knots.
